this really could be a good school but there is no actions taken against those studnts who act out and misbehave. They are allowed to talk to the staff how ever they please. Sometimes it seems as though the principal would rather let them do what they want rather than deal with the problem and the parents of these children. I guess it all goes back to what you teach your children at home. My son does extremely well in school and he knows that acting out at school is inexcusable. So parents please teach your children how to behave at school and principals please dont take a job if you dont have the guts to do the hard and dirty work thank you

After Transferring my child from the school she attended for approximately 6 years utilizing the 'No child left behind' option; I was absolutly astounded at the difference in Not only Accademic, but also everyday Lifeskills, and all around Behavioral Expectations of the Teaching Staff. The students seem to be happier, more respectful, and enthusiasitic about their studies. I found Principal Machado to be Incredibly Qualified and Easily Accessible to the Students and Parents as well as her Staff. My Daughter made Honor Roll and due to the Inspired Teachings of Ms. McGuckin her 6th grade Teacher, she has once again found her joy and excitement for learning. We will be Happily attending Pittman Elementary School again next year.
