My last year here and i've been here since kindergarten. Next stop is high school. I love how parents are volunteering alot and how friendly everyone is. I've meet and befriended teachers and other staff and parents. It was and still is and amazing school for everyone. They don't focus on only one student as more important, but they focus on one students needs just as much as the next. We also have great spirit and a very positive way of focusing on our education!! I don't want to leave!!

What I love about this school is there commitment in including art and music into the curriculum. Parents are really invovled here, whether it's classroom volunteering, or PTSA events. The teachers here are very in tune to each child's learning level. Love this school for my son.

Mable Barron leadership is like no other. The administrators are present in the classrooms, lunch room, playground, as well as in the office and at district meetings. It takes caring, intelligent people who keep abreast the best practices for student success as well as establishing a nurturing community where children want to attend school and parents want to send their school. It's no wonder that the children of 3 board members attend this school. The teachers are critical in meeting the needs of all facets that involve running the school and parent involvement, especially in times of economic crisis, are committed 200%. Mable Barron? YES! I'm proud to be a part of this wonderful community where children, parents and staff work together to make Mable Barron the BEST!!!!

About the tests


In 2011-2012 California used the California Standards Tests (CSTs) to test students in English language arts in grades 2 through 11; math in grades 2 through 7; science in grades 5, 8 and 10; and history-social science in grades 8 and 11. Middle and high school students also took subject-specific CSTs in math and science, depending on the course in which they were enrolled. The CSTs are standards-based tests, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of California. The goal is for all students to score at or above proficient on the tests.

The different student groups are identified by the California Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
