Teachers really care for the students and everyone is so friendly! Just walk in the door and one feels the great atmosphere. The children love to go to school and are in a hurry to tell you what they learned and to sing you the songs they learned about science or history! After 8th grade, they have the option to go straight to community college because the school has someone to help them manage their schedules and how to study.

I have 2 children currently attending SVA one in 3rd and the other in Middle School. I also have 1 child who attended SVA Prek-8th grade & is now in college at age 16. For 14 years, SVA has proven to have the highest level of documented academic achievement in the Bay Area. As a parent, the nurturing environment & level of academic success my children and other students at the school have mastered is phenomenal. It s true that kinder-8th grade students do a variety of fine arts project weekly, which I see as strength to their development. But the SVA goes far beyond this because the kindergarten students are also doing paragraph writing, which is not taught until 2nd grade at most other schools. My 3rd grade child is doing multi-paragraph essays. It s a fact that most of the graduating 8th grade SVA students qualify for college level math and English because of the program at SVA. As a parent, I see volunteering at the school as an imperative way to show my children I value their education. Thank you SVA staff and Admin for the dedication and talent you share with our children!

Great school! Teachers and staff go beyond the call of duty to provide a relaxed and healthy leaning environment. I have one kid at the school and hope to enroll my youngest when he becomes 5. Highly recommended.

My children have gone to SVA for 3 years now. We love it! ... even though it's not perfect. The teachers and the admin are so very approachable and warm. They are willing to work with families and treat parents and children with dignity. Sometimes I feel that the gifted children are not challenged enough academically. My son also went to Granada for one year for the academics and we were NOT happy there. While the teachers at Granada are GREAT, the admin at Granada were so cold and hateful. Also Granada follows the public school curriculum including learning about pop singers :( We are soooo happy to be back at SVA! Alhamdoulillah!.

My children have been attending SVA for two years in both the pre-k and grade school program. As an alternative teaching style is implemented (GLAD) it may not be a school that everyone is comfortable with. I find that in the lower grades it greatly increases confindence, personal responsibility, and teamwork while teaching the necessary subjects through lessons that rely heavily on student involvement. In addtion to providing great character developement, and academics SVA has become an extended family. All the teachers know all the students and I have always felt like I couldn't leave my children in better hands. I highly recommend SVA.

This is a great Islamic school. My sistrer has been attending this school for five years now and she is continuously proggressing. They go through a certain program called GLAD training. this program is truly helpful and has made a great impact on her education. i absoloutely reccomand this school to you. the only problem is that they do not have enough supporting parents to create more facilities for the children.

I used to go to this school and I loved it! Everyone wore nice, clean clothing, and everyone was nice to one another. The teachers were fun, and devised great learning activities for the children. Also, the Islamic and normal teaching was very good. I'd reccomend this school to any parent.
