I have just been reading some of the reviews that parents have written and I have come to one conclusion: You don't really know a school, untill you have been in it. I am going to be going into the 8th grade, and I like Peterson. I went there the past two years. It is true that there are some teachers that not everyone likes (I have perosonally not liked some of my teachers), but you get that with every school. Even if I attended one of the best schools in the country, I'm sure that I will not like some of the teachers. It all comes down to one simple fact: No school is perfect. I have something to say to all of you parents who wrote bad reviews: Even though I have to defend my school like this, I will not see it be vandilized by words and critizisims.

My sister attended Peterson and she even made honor roll as a special Ed student. This was not good because they didn't show her that she had to do her work they just gave her pats on the back for turning in anything. I agree this in not a good school. She was not prepared in anyway for high school and is now a high school dropout. Definitely think twice before sending your child to this school.

My child is in 8th grade and I cant believe the segregation of children who are not doing well and the ones that are.The good are praised and the struggleing ignored and banished. The school holds 'special' days of fun for passing students and the rest stay behind still with no help but pushed off to other schools or pushed aside. Shame on peterson! Where's the compasion or real teachers at? Want to have your attend here? Run! run fast and hard! you will also be notified a month later by teachers of how your student is doing and it's too late to do anything. This schools main focus is attendance for money and if there attendance is not excused, they will get suspended.

Our 'special needs' 6th grader has not received services and support needed to be successful at Petersen. The classes are 35+ in some cases and the staff not motivated to assist outside of the 'norm.' The counseling staff has not been of much help. Seems like they have not kept up on their education and knowledge. The principal is very detatched and would not even meet with us!Weird! Very disappointing for us. Might be ok for regular ed. kids that blend in.

This school has been big disappoinment. It is probably fine for others kids but our eigth grader needs a lot of help, which have not been available, The caliber of some of the teachers has been chockingly poor. It has therefore given none of the adventages of a hug school.
