The principal at Osceola Street Elementary School sends a clear message to parents.The message is that if you have a comment; it should remain a thought, and if you have a complaint your better of keeping it to yourself. Otherwise, the school personnel will harass your child until causing severe harm, provoking the child to become discouraged about attending school. Children are often bullied by other children in their schools, but the reality is that kids are also being bullied by the school s personnel including their teachers. It is a sad epidemic currently occurring at this site. Students are lectured about bullying, when they are NOT being trained themselves. As consequence, my daughter who has been an excellent student, received several students of the month awards and had also participated by singing for some school events has had her beautiful voice shut-off. Her happiness & enthusiasm of attending school has faded away, due to her teacher's bullying. This is a new fifth grade teacher, who has retaliated against my daughter for speaking up about her poor teaching methods. My daughter now suffers from depression and psychological stress, while the principal covers up. SAD!

i am a parent of two children currently enrolled in osceola. i can honestly say that i am not pleased with the school. Out of two years there i can only say that two of the four tearchers my kids were assigned to meet the bar. the good teachers they do have i cant deny are fantastic, but the rest of them not too great. i feel that the majority of all attention is given to children that have english as a second language, and that students that have english speaking parents are put to the side and just expected to know the curiculum becuase they have the advantage of english speaking parents.Tearcher time is directed to students that are still struggleing to learn the english language. so most of the learning is put onto the parents. i feel a poor staff is a reflection of a poor leader/principal

I find the principal to be fully involved with parents, staff and community at large. She is gracious and highly informed about the students.

Parent involvement has decreased, because of the principles lack of interest with the parents concerns. Principle is almost never available to speak with parents when they have urgent concerns.
