Tahoe Lake Elementary is a terrific community elementary school with a caring dedicated staff and an approachable energetic Principal. After being reconfigured by our District in 2009, we have endured some growing pains, but our scores for Mainstream students are consistently among the highest in the District and the English language learners at our school have seen tremendous growth in their state test scores in 2010. Our school continues to focus on Science by offering all 3rd Graders Science Theatre. Tahoe Lake Elementary also recently had a school-wide Science Expo and Science Night in conjuction with Sierra Watershed Educational Partnerships. If you are interested in Tahoe Lake, our staff and Principal are always available for school & classroom tours. Parents are extremely excited that for the 2012-13 school year we will be a K-4 school and are looking forward to older role models for our younger kids.

Tahoe Lake is an amazing school. Since being reconfigured as a K-3 school in 2009, Tahoe Lake has successfully implemented a schoolwide science focus that my children have LOVED! It is so cool to hear my children say that science is their favorite subject and to hear the science vocabulary they use. I also really like that my kids get a half hour a day of Spanish. Our teachers are so supportive and dedicated, and are always communicasting with the families in their class. And our principal is a great leader who is always smiling and full of energy and has been key in imppemetting many postive changes to support students.

Many teachers need to move on. Principal not willing to listen to parents in their concerns and do what is right for the children.

Tahoe Truckee offers students an outstanding learning environment. The teachers and administrators are committed to providing student an array of quality academic programs and extracurricular activities. My two children have excelled at the school. They are being prepared for higher education and provided the opportunity to acheive in life.
