It is a very fine academic institution with a genuine family atmosphere; small and personal; affordable and iternatioal in its scope.

Great bilingual/bicultural school. My son is currently enrolled in the school s kindergarten s class where he learns math, reading, language arts, science, and social studies in both French and English. The school s curriculum is very rigorous as it follows not only the French educational system program but also the California State Board of Education program. The school s cultural environment is French-American and encompasses both European and American values. So far, I am very pleased with the school (academically and socially). I like my son s French/English teachers as well as the school s director (He knows every child/parent by his/her name). Most importantly, my son truly enjoys the school.

I cannot speak more highly of LILA West Valley. My 5 yr old started last year in PreK and my 3 yr old this year in Preschool. The teachers are warm and caring and the curriculum is a really good balance between learning, creativity, and play time. The classes are small and most have one teacher plus one or two assistants so the kids get a lot of attention. The principal is very involved and extremely professional, friendly and helpful.

Wonderful school with caring teachers and impressive academic curriculum. We continue to be impressed with the quality of education in each of the 5 years our children have been attending.

Horrible school. Don't make the mistake. I am French and took my child out after 3 weeks of a very bad experience.

Outstanding school and staff. My child has been attending for less than one year, but has been attempting to speak French with me. I now have a French study partner. Very high parent involvement at the school. I can't say enough positive things.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
