I have found the same true, the teachers, counselors and adminstrative team know the students. The teachers especially seem to have caring and encouraging methods of reaching out to these students who were at risk of dropping out. My son has excelled at this school, it has built his confidence and thirst for knowledge back. Chaperal may be a good school for many, but I do think many slip in the cracks of this very large population. The only suggestion is that they offer more activities such as prom, sports as an option to these students.
I have two children who attend this school. They transferred from the Edwards AFB base schools which are rated the best public school in the AV area. The teachers are great and I was fortunate to serve on the school council. The teachers listen and want to see the children suceed in school and become valued citizens. I served on the PTA and participated in many school activities that benefit the children's social and educational experience. I highly recommend this school to families wanting to see their suceed in life. Their motto is for the children to aim high for the sky. Go rockets!
