All of our children have attended TES for the past 7 years (the ages of our children are staggered) and still, after all this time.. Some things NEVER change. When picking up children EXPECT to sit at the drive thru for 15 -35 minutes. Yes, the school pushes to achieve strong scores in hopes of at least meeting the standard 800 for their state tests.. Problem is, if your child is one of the top 3 students academically, THEN the focus shifts to the remaining 18 who require that extra help in the classroom. Our child has become bored of the things she already knows. Her GATE enrollment only pushes her to do homework at a ridiculous amount for her age! At one point- upon returning to school from an illness.. she presented her GATE packet, minus 1 incomplete page.. to which she was greeted with frown & lecture :(
My husband and I have had a child or two attending TES since 2007 and this year is by far the best! Mrs. Byham is the new Principal and is a breath of fresh air. Our children's teachers have been wonderful to work with and are dedicated to helping their students succeed. We have been blessed to have such caring men and women teaching our children for the past 3 years and for that we are grateful! =)
Academically this school is doing well with my kindergartener. He is only half way through the year and can already read! He is not allowed to be a kid though and I am concerned that this school pushes our children to grow up too fast. Kindergarteners are 5 and 6 years old and need to be allowed to have an imagination and be a little kid when they can for as long as they can.
Temecula Elementary is an excellent school with wonderful teachers. The staff is awesome and I believe is due to the great leadership and example of Dr. Yakich.
The teachers at Temecula Elementary school are some af the best trained teachers we have in our school dist.
I would not recommend this school. They are mostly concerned with their testing scores and actually use what they call 'incentives' to get the children to come to school. I feel bad of some of the teachers because I know is not all their fault, but I am so mad that my children wasted an entire year and made no real progress.
My daughter had a good year at TES. She was fortunate to have a good 4th grade teacher. Unfortunately, due to what I believe was the class size, she could have done great this year. Keep working at it TES.
My daughter started Kindergarten at TES and now she is in the 2nd grade. TES has been a good school for her. She has been lucky to have great teachers, who care about the children in their classroom. We will be moving this summer and I can only hope that she will be able to attend a school as good as this one.
Execllent school and excellent caring loving teachers. Each student is individually evaluated and a program is adjusted speciafically for students neding extra assistance.
TES is a wonderful school with a rich history. Located in the heart of a close-knit and well established neighborhood, parental involvement runs high and school pride is evident. All children are given the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and rich environment. It's a very happy place that feels like 'home'.
