Do not trust that your child will be treated equitably at Temple City High School. I know of one student whose grades started falling and no one there seemed to notice, call her parents or try to help her. That young lady had to go elsewhere to get a GED rather than graduate from Temple City High School. Also, Dr. Doug Sears did not discipline a student who was on the school's football team but did discipline a student who was called from his classroom by the football player who then became involved an incident at the school. I was not surprised when that happened because as a graduate of Temple City High School myself, and am personally aware that some of the school s personnel prioritize athletics and not education.
I found the staff quite earnest and very interested in helping these kids complete their goals.
