My son loves & adores this school!! He gets so much encouragement from the teachers, even with his learning disabilities he's made honor roll. The kids get to be kids here while learning from the best teachers & staff! They have great field trips, service projects, & are free to love the Lord :) I love that the sports programs don't include weekends so we can be free & the upper division homework club is a lifesaver! The cost is very hard for me,but my son is thriving so it's worth it. No regrets!!!

My Wife and I have two children that are currently attending and just promoted out to begin High School. The over all experience has been wonderful. The Teachers, and staff, bring the children up each day and push them to always try and do their personal best. My 9th Grader is more than ready to take on High School and continue in very advanced courses. Both my Children Test on a National Level at a minimum of two to three grades higher then what they currently are. At a Family Reunion a few years ago they were speaking to some of there cousins from different parts of the country and they were amazed, as the older children where studying the same subjects and using the same books that my 6th grader was and they were in 8th-9th and even higher grades. This School has a true commitment to Excellence!!!!

Ascension School has partnered with Apple and is integrating a new iPad curriculum with iBooks textbooks for super interactive learning! This is yet another example of how this hidden gem of a school continually strives to stay on the cutting edge of education!

My son attended Ascension for 9 years. . .he not only got an amazing education he was cherished for who he was and encouraged to thrive. No bullying is tolerated and each child is seen as an individual; respected, loved, and tended. He has become a wonderful young man thanks to ALS!

Our family absolutely loves Ascension! The teachers genuinely care about the students and create a positive learning environment based on respect for the educational process and also respect for one another. This school provides a safe and nurturing place for children to grow academically and allows them to become strong, self reliant individuals. My high schooler attended since Kindergarten and was well prepared for her next steps in Honors classes at a local private high school. My son currently attends Ascension and continues to be challenged as an honor student in the school's upper division. Wonderful education, wonderful experience, wonderful faculty...well worth the investment in my children's education.

I am the parent of two graduates of Ascension Lutheran School. They attended Ascension from preschool through the 8th grade. Both of my children were well prepared for high school due to the dedicated and caring staff, strong principal's leadership, and well balanced curriculum. There is a family environment at Ascension where younger students look up to and are mentored by the older students. Students at all levels have an opportunity to participate in service projects and all middle school students can participate in the sports programs. Ascension Lutheran is a great school and I highly recommend that you visit to see for yourself!

I absolutely love this school. I have three children that attend and attended Ascension Lutheran School. The teachers are warm and inviting and the school has a great community with all levels of grades. There are upper division students that are mentors to the lower division students. I love this aspect of the school that the older students are role models for the younger ones. The interaction between the classes are lovely to watch. The service projects give the students a great sense of community involvement. I love having my kids at this school with all the loving and caring staff.

Excellent preschool and K-8 school. I have two children there and my children have thrived in this school's caring environment. One of my children also attended the preschool and was very happy and successful due to the loving care and enriching programs. The academic standards are high and students are supported and guided by excellent teachers. My children have grown in their faith through chapel, religious studies, and service projects. I am always impressed by the outstanding character and leadership qualities that I see in the the children at ALS. The school is like a second extended family to my children.

My son went there for preschool, I have some mix feelings about ALS. He had a great time with two great teachers in his 2's class. The class ratio is 1:6, about right and every kids get enough attention and love. Things are different in 3's and 4's classes. Class structure changes everyday: M/W/F is one setting (3's/4's are separated), and T/Th is another (3's/4's are combined). A lot more kids: about 35 to 45 kids depending on the day. They have about 5 teachers/helpers. Each teachers seem to have different roles. Throughout the day, kids have to interact with different teachers. The tight bound between student/teacher is harder to establish. I can't get much feedback at the end of day. The teacher(s) watches him in the morning doesn't work in the afternoon. Indoor classroom space for 3's and 4's just too small, when all kids are indoor, it's loud, crowd, and overwhelming. If your kid is not the most outgoing or social kind, he/she will get lost in this setting. The preschool works hard to add science, outdoor activities, but they lost sight of the most important to the kids which is to create a loving, comfortable environment so that they feel confident, love come to school.

I went to Ascension for middle school, but only lasted 2 years. I was SEVERELY bullied there and the staff did nothing about it. I would NOT recommend that you send your children there. The classes are way too small and there is a lot of bulling that goes on. Take it from someone who went there, this is not a place you want to go. I regret going there more than anything, they make the school seem so amazing, but really its the worst decision I have ever made.
We love this school. After moving away we realized just how much. The teachers are truly caring and have the kids' best interests at heart. There are many extra programs that have been eliminated from the public school systems such as: music, regular P.E., an actual librarian, Spanish, and more. The only draw-back is that it may be too small for older kids. The kids may be a little sheltered if they are going to move on to a public high school. It could be a very hard transition. I actually think they need to raise tuition rates to make more improvements to the school. As it is, it's one of the least expensive private schools around.

I went to Ascension Lutheran for middle school. Its a public school with a religion class, minus the drug problem. Attrition rate was very high among new comers. Out of 6 kids who joined in 7th grade, only me another stayed, and I stayed not of my free will.

Great school with caring well educated teachers. Parents are very friendly, involved and down to earth. Various after school programs. Students have Spanish, music, P.E. and computers every week. Art is taught by volunteer parents through Art Trek every two weeks.

I am impressed! Even more after his first year than I was when I decided to enroll my son based on my research into the local private schools. All the children smile and are taught in a very loving, academic environment. This school nurtures fascinated minds and good character. A+ in my book. My kindergarten graduate is reader and writer of long sentences and had his science senses filled. He likes learning about his creator daily.
