If you and your family come from Christian background, this is a great school. But for students of different religion, not so much because this school is close minded to other religions. In thelogy classes, Christianity is exclusively taught and other religions are put down. The principal is great in trying to push the school forward but sometimes gets in other people's shoes because he micro manages. The school somewhat lacks challenging classes (honors and AP classes) which explains somewhat lower overall academic standards compared to other high schools in the area. But it has small classes so students receive great one-to-one interaction with the teachers. In short, this is a fairly great school that still needs improvements but it's headed in the right direction.

I am very impressed with the dedication of the teachers, staff, and administration at Pacific Lutheran High School. Although the school is small the opportunities provided to my son are priceless. The classes follow the college bound critera; and the after school activites inculde football, soccer, and the championship girls volleyball team. The school culture promotes respect and kindness. Relationships nurtured here with their faith and fellow students will last a lifetime.

I'm very glad this school emphasizes religious education. Although we are a Christian family, I have a hard time explaining Christianity from an academic point of view to my kids, so I'm glad that this school offers theology. Because of small classes, students are able to get help at any time from their teachers who strongly care about their students. The teachers encourage students not only to grow academically but also to grow in faith.

This school has Christian Teachers that really care about the students. Classes are small so more time can be spent with students who may be struggling. Students also have a better opportunity to participate in the sports program. My son was prepared to attend a 4-year university when he graduated.

I like this school because my daughter comes home happy everyday. Her other school was full of drama which caused much of a distraction. Here at this school they don't put up with drama. Students are always watched closely.

I am very happy with the quality of education at this high school. With small classes each student is able to get more individual attention. The religious emphasis is vital to youth today, as I strongly believe that it helps them be better individuals as a whole.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
