My daughter is a junior and she told me and my husband that she has " the greatest teachers " . I am happy and confident that she is well prepared for college come next year . BMHS has strong academics , sports , and other extracurricular activities . The management , staff and faculty are very involve in the students . It is like a second home to my daughter . Thank you BMHS .
All 3 of my kids have attended Bishop Montgomery High School with great success. The school well prepares its students for college and life. The principal & staff are like family and committed to each and every student's needs. My first 2 kids who graduated from there attend top notch colleges and my one still there is loving his high school experience! The kids & families are caring & enthusiastic and the student body is culturally diverse which is better than our public school alternative which is 95% white. My kids love the friendships they have made with kids of all backgrounds! BMHS's size is perfect too, 1110 students-big enough to offer a lot but small enough to allow kids opportunities to make it onto sports teams and to shine in many ways. It offers a wide range of classes and activities that respects each person's individuality including 5 foreign languages and most AP's. And freshman can take honors. My kids have gotten every class they requested! The school creates class sections as needed. BMHS has zero tolerance for illegal activity and expels kids for it. It is co-ed and has uniforms with several options. Lovely, safe location, 29 acre campus, a great place to be!
I am currenlty a junior at bmhs and every day i regret going to this school. It has the most screwed up rules when it comes to getting into ap or honors classes. In order to be in honors science you have to be in honors math, in order to be in honors social studies you have to be in honors english. BMHS portrays itself to parents and incoming freshmen as a school that is a home away from home when in realty 85% of the students hate bishop. I have never heard anyone say that they love going to bishop which is why there is almost no school spirit from the students. That said there are some good teachers but overall they're not that good.
Alumni of BMHS, education, experience, knowledge, growth, and Christ-centered school. BMHS is priceless and no amount of money can buy the safety, assurance, education and people at this school.
With too many high school to choose from BMHS is the best and with no regrets . Having an only child ( daughter ) the dilemma in picking the right high school is tough . BMHS is what we need . Five stars for you BMHS .
This school is GREAT , I am a freshman and I THANK GOD for helping me and my parents choose BISHOP MONTGOMERY HIGH SCHOOL in Torrance , California It will be a good 4 years .
Bishop Montgomery High School is a wonderful Christian learning environment lead by the most 'amazing' principal, Rosemary Libbon. With her leadership, the faculty and staff of this school create a learning place for 'each' student. This is a very diverse campus with students of all backgrounds and academic levels. Every student is guided to feel that they are a unique and special gift from God with the abilities to do 'whatever' they desire and are willing to work hard for. I have been blessed with two graduates from this school, and continue to sing it's praises!!
I Love the Staff & Environment of the school. The HS community is a supportive atmospher for students and parents alike. We are all looking forward to a Great 4 YEARS!
My son is a Sophomore at Bishop. The staff is great and the Administration truly cares about the students. I recently got a chance to visit a nearby public high school and was impressed, when I found out that some classes at Bishop Freshmen level were similar to public school Junior level. Keep up the great job Bishop!
This is my son's second year at Bishop and he is doing great. There is a solid focus on academics, and of course spirituality. Even if you're not Catholic (we're not) it is great to have the exposure to Christian values! There is no bullying that I have seen. Very strict and responsive administrators. I highly recommmend this school.
