Banta Elementary School

I would not go so far to rate this school a 5. The environment is o.k but the teachers do not push the students academically. I have found most teachers are 'hands off' and the 'country' kids are below the bar with respect to educational standards because the Principal is not concerned with monitoring and disciplining his teachers. There are a handful of solid teachers, the rest leave a lot to be desired. That said, the administrative staff is great. The Principal is hands on, but head off. I think this school is great for a small town atmosphere but if you want your child to be academically sound, you had better work with them at home. Small town schools make for a lot of gossip too. Most teachers have been around for years, and can get away with pretty much anything. Not much accountability.

Great country school, keeps your kids sheltered from a lot of things. Have had two kids graduate from Banta and could not be any happier with my experience. Highly recommend Banta School!!!

This is a WONDERFUL school! The teachers and the principal work hard to make sure every student has the best possible experience. I have never seen a better run school.

Banta is a great school w/ very involved parents & faculty. My children have had nothing but a good experience going to school here.

Banta is a small country school so it has fewer studunts then most schools. This allows the teacher to spend more time with the children and that is alwy a plus..
