I graduated from west high school last year & I can honestly say I will not miss it. I just feel like the school lacks school spirit & there are so many dumb rules, especially this year. Good luck to the rest of you who are still stuck there!

I am a Junior at WHS. The administration does not care about the average student, unless their parent calls in or comes down to the school themselves. WHS seems to be more concerned with making this school more like a jail than a learning institution. The only thing good about this school is the AP and Honors teachers, they are actually good teachers. The rest barely care. Maybe that is for a good reason, too many ghetto Bay Area misfits have come here thinking that they are some sort of gangsters so there is no choice but to treat them like the animals they are. I can not wait to get out of here and I am blessed to be in a position of possible early graduation.

As a current senior at this school, I will definitely miss my years at West High. This school offers many extra curricular activities. After 14 years, West High has received the stadium and pool its always needed, and it is by far way better than the stadium at our rival Tracy High School. The teachers at this school are extremely helpful and unique in their own way. West will continue to be an outstanding high school in the years to come. GO WOLFPACK!!

West has been a very good school for my daughter. I have nothing negative to say except that I wish at the beginning of her fresman year (and I know they now do this) they had encouraged 'college' thinking in their students. Like I said, I think they're now doing that so we'll see in 5 years when my next child goes to West. Overall, very good experience with the school!

West isn't a bad school is you involved in upper level classes like AP or honors classes or the acadmy. In the more difficult classes the teachers tend to be more respectful and willing to help out after school and sometimes even on weekends if you need it.However in some of the lower classes the teachers don't seem to care as much and definately do not respect the students the same way AP teachers do. The school is also very crowded, but it is generally very safe acccept for a few occasional fights that all high schools have. The school is also finally getting its football stadium and pool that it was supposed to have a long time ago.

The Space and Engineering Academy is a great way for kids to learn because classes are smaller and it is more personlized for student who want to learn about science. It scored about 806 on the API scores
