Profile Completeness

ADVANCED

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

This schools lacks everything. It lacks social programs for the students. When cuts need to be made, the cuts are made upon classes, affecting the kids, why not begin with salaries instead of the kids education. Another thing is that they have the same books since 1987. The school gets the most aid from the government and state, in comparison to clovis. Yet, they fail to put the student first.

T.H.S. has a many great qualities, there is a higher average of students who pass the CAHEE than Fresno. More students participation in school activities, graduation from a four year college, and achieve levels of great success. But the root of the problem is accountability to the community. Do not cry about bad teachers, you should be screaming load about selfish and lazy board members who are not accountable to the community. This is the time to rally, get people you trust from the community like youth football, soccer, baseball, and any other community organization to be elected as board members. The school district is accountable to the board, and the board members are accountable to you the community. The great garden must be nurtured with delicate hands; watering, pruning, and being admired for the accomplishments and for the potential that can be passed on to our children. Please get involved, replace all of the board with trusting people that represent the community. The economy may be poor, but the school and students are rich with talent and with your help opportunities will be forward to greatness

THS has some specific teachers that can not be fired unless they retire or quit. They need to be fired to improve this school, those teachers don't really seem to care about the well being of the students going there. While the new teachers that actually do care about these students get fired because of budget costs. All I'm saying is this school needs to hire teachers that would actually want to improve their students grades other than try to lower them. I suggest listening to what students have to say so they could have some sort of an idea of what teachers they should fire.

Was once a great district that was ran properly. I believe it still could be. The board members really need to look at the big picture and support the kids, teachers, and administration. But instead they are making it difficult. I only wish the best for this district and things will only change if the boad members change their way of thinking.

THS is improving with the administration we currently have. There are some teachers that are doing their best to get school spirit back to where it once was. However, with the tenure law, we do lack the proper education in some classrooms. Parent involvement certainly needs to increase!

Seems as though things are slowly but surely improving at THS. Would love to see some better test scores and a few more students in some advanced classes.

Academic programs are bad, lack resources, everything is being affected due to budget cuts. Few extracurricular activities. Those students who manage to get extracurriculars are not being challenged at all. The parent involvement is extremely low. Most parents are unaware of what their child is experienceing at school.
