I love Trinidad School because of the Nature, MARE program( our unique ocean studies program), the small class sizes, music and art and drama and samba and all the wonderful things the school community makes happen. I especially love the garden and the ORGANIC SCHOOL LUNCH!!!! yep, homemade lunch and snacks everyday, so no more packing lunches:)
It is small and in need of funds. However, the teachers are great and work with what they have. It would be great to have their efforts rewarded, as well as those great kids.
There are so many reasons why I love Trinidad School! I love the teachers and the principal who put a lot of love into the programs and the children who attend the school! I love how much parent involvement there is at our school. Trinidad School offers a Marine education program, music and art program, gardening at school, and a wonderful, healthy school lunch. They also have small class sizes and an atmosphere in the classes that is very positive and encourages self confidence in our children. I could go on and on about all the amazing things Trinidad School continues to do for our children despite the economy!!
We love this school. The staff really cares about each child. Excellence abounds here. The academics are great and the arts are not forgotten. This is a rich environment for children.
I love Trinidad School! The community is welcome and involved with many school activities. May's MARE Week (MARine Education) is incredibly special and provides science education through experiential activities to all grades and culminates in the Ocean Week Dance. There's a Spanish class in the morning 3 days a week (currently it's $100/semester), extracurricular music lessons will soon be available to supplement the current music curriculum, there's an Artist in Residence, after school care available, and the small class sizes develop leadership and give an opportunity for studnets to receive individualized attention. With only 109 kids attending (a k/1 class, a 1/2, a 3/4, a 5/6 and a 7/8) all teachers and the principal know all students. I'm proud that my daughter's a Kindergartener there and I'm pleased my other daughter will have the same teacher next year.
