I have been a parent at Tulare Christian School for about 15 years. I have had 4 children here and three are still in school. It's not just a school to us, but a family. GOD is #1 here. We love chapel every Friday and the teachers and principal are AMAZING!!! They truly LOVE our kids! WE ARE BLESSED TO HAVE T.C.S. Tammy Valov

This school has been the best school for my child!! The teachers care about her spiritual growth as well as her academics! The principal is a very caring and involved principal. He is always looking for ways to improve the school anyway he can. My child has been there for 8 years and has always felt safe and cared for. Her testing scores have been right on!!! The people are very friendly. It's like a family! My husband and I love this school:)

Picture a school where you are permitted to be involved at every level, you see the teachers, principal, adminstrators, and students in action. Any issues you may have, you have access to teachers at school, through email and private phone numbers. Where teachers love and adore your children & have the same vision as you to train up your children in God's Word, in character as well as academically and athletically. Where every parent have the same motivation as you to raise their children to be responsible and accomplished. I've never seen a child left out there, I've never seen a bad behavior ignored. It's a nurturing environment where children feel safe and happy, where they can tune their entire energy into learning b/c they don't have to fear peer pressure, bullying or even neglect from other students or teachers. It's a second family for a lot of us, and for me, it's a good thing when trying to pick them up to go home, my kids are reluctant to leave.

I feel so blessed to be able to have my girls attend Tulare Christian School. TCS provides a strong academic, Bible based curriculum. Although very different personalities, both of my girls are thriving at TCS. The teachers are approachable and truly care about the kids. Our Principal has done an amazing job getting advanced math and advanced reader programs going, with the generous support of our Parent Teacher Fellowship. Our junior high sports programs have also grown considerably under his administration. When school is out for vacation, I can't wait for the kids to go back! NOT because I'm getting tired of my kids, but because I miss the interaction with other parents and the teachers at drop off and pick up times as well as school events. TCS has a great family atmosphere! If you are looking for small class sizes, great teachers and a caring environment, check out Tulare Christian School!

We are so happy with Tulare Christian School! The staff is wonderful. There are only 11 children in my sons class this year, and his teacher is amazing! At TCS you really feel like you are apart of a family. Not only will your children get to go to school in a Christian environment, they will receive the attention and support they need to become a great student and child.

Going to Tulare Christian School was a huge mistake. We found it hard to get to know people, rules and regulations in handbook compromised and a handful of "subpar" teachers. Two major concerns were: LACK OF SAFETY on playground with "1" aide and a playground that is open to the public due to the Santa Fe walking trail that goes straight through and no fencing. The second concern is when we met the new principal we were told he had NO teaching experience nor a degree in education or administration!! How can you have effective leadership? All we saw all year was a principal trying to be a "peer" amongst student's. Save your money and look into other schools.

TCS is not what it's cracked up to be. Take Christian out of the schools name and their you have it, Tulare School! Administrator- Do your research. Educators/teaching- below standards. Office staff- Rude. Save your money. After what I sacrificed financially, I am now faced having to pay for a tutor.

My children have been attending Tulare Christian School for over 4 years now. Each year I love this school more and more. My kids love going to school everyday and I know that everyday my kids are loved by their teachers. There is no other place I would rather have my kids spend their school day. They receive a highly academic Christ-centered education. There have been many kids that have come over from other schools who are getting left behind. When a teacher has 25 or more kids in a class how can each child get individual attention? At TCS there are about 15 kids in each class, great for each child to get specialized attention. This school is highly worth the sacrifice we make to be able to send our kids to private school. We look forward to many more wonderful years at TCS!

I have sent all three of my children thru Tulare Christian School over the past 15 years. While small, the school provides excellent core academics with a student to teacher ratio of about 15 to 1. You will find that the tuition is considerable less than any other private school in the area. TCS is a non-denominational school which is not supported by any one church. The student body is made up of children from about 12 different local churches, pastor s children, and children of public school teachers. TCS is small and may not be for everyone, but it s definitely worth a visit.

This school is a wonderful school. Both our kids have gone there since Kindergarten and love it. The teachers welcome parent participation and really strive to make sure none of the kids feel left behind,or dumb, etc. They take the time to make sure every student understands whats being taught and will take time after school, etc to tutor the student if needed. They have a zero tolerance policy for bad language, bullying, disrespect for teachers, etc. Their PE program is fun for the kids as well.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
