Our eager third grader loves to go to school. Why, because Purple Lotus School (PLS) is a private Buddhist school that offers a unique educational program that goes beyond the state requirements. They focus on the qualities of being a good human being and helping the community while caring for each student s individual needs. Our student enjoys the Small classroom sizes (K-12th) Advance academics, especially science and math The teaching of Buddhism Learning Mandarin Chinese The social network of teachers and students in all grades. Everyone cares about each other and the older students are very nice to the younger students. As parents we are so pleased with the PLS program and the personal growth of our child that she will have way beyond her schooling years.

This school just isn't as good. It's basically the same as independent study. Teacher's hardly ever teach and there are literally no co-curricular activities on campus.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
