This school has been going downhill pretty fast and their better teachers have retired or left thus leaving the lesser ones. The chances of landing a teacher of any substance you have to be in the "in" group with the teachers - or just get to know where teachers push their kids through follow that path...but its slim. The class size is just too much for the kind of teachers they have left...goodluck...if you go here send your kids to afterschool tutoring you will be better off....this school is not going to help them

This is a great school, it seems that my son is going to an international school very well diversified. Great Interaction between students and teacher. Teacher are very experienced. Students are very respectful.

Pioneer has been a great school for my son. The teachers and all staff have been wonderful. I really appreciate the immediate involvement between staff and parents if there are ever any concerns.

Overall this school is better than most. I like the fact that the music program still exists and the school faculty is big on safety . Some areas of improvement are more hands on learning in science (field trips included) and smaller class sizes. The teachers my son has had are receptive to my concerns about academics but can only do so much due to lack of teacher assistants.

The academic program seems good. My daughter started first grade and so far I think this school is good. Lot of after school extra curricular activities likes sports and music groups. Parents are encouraged to volunteer at school and take interest in their childs education growth.

Pioneer Elementary School in Union City is by far, the most wonderful learning environment for children in this Union City area. My kids have attended from K-5. The teachers are nurturing and challenging, the administration cares, the staff is diligent and the parent community (PTC) is dedicated and generous. One can tell that Pioneer students thrive in this school (and it's a public school at that!).

This is a great learning environment for young children. Encouraging! Motivating! Read this story, please. My son is in kindergarten. He learned when working with me on his science project, Electricity/ Static. On the presentation day, principal Stanley patiently talked with my son at the project site. Gave Sam chances to tell what he learned. From 'What is ...?','How ...?','What...?' to 'What if..?' From Sam's exciting face with confidence in presenting his project, I saw/ see a great school for our children. Pioneer!

Both my children have attended Pioneer Elementary School. It is an excellent school with extremely caring teachers and administrators. The principal knows each child individually and both my children have greatly benefitted from attending this school.
