My Children started at ULES then we moved to the city. It was a night and day difference. The school that my children attended was one of the top schools in the state. It had excellent scores on the STAR testing and everything. But something was missing. So we moved back. Upper Lake has a personal touch that can not be beat. Academically the school isn't as competitive as the one in the city however I find that to be a plus. It is important that kids are allowed to be kids. At ULES you get a real family feel. They are warm and friendly. The staff veiw you and your child as more then just a number. They have helped my child were others wouldn't. It's an excellent school!

I really like Upper Lake Elementary. The teachers are very nice and very capable. My children love them and they love the school. I was a little uneasy about moving from a bigger town to this small town. I was afraid that my children wouldn't get as good of an education. If anything I have found the opposite. My children get a wonderful education and the teachers are very loving. The teachers all know you, and the office staff and pricipal are also very friendly and observant to the childrens needs.
