I have two boys that attend Legacy. My oldest was at the local public school for kindergarten and we had a bad experience with the teacher. We decided to try the private school for his first grade. During this year, he advanced three grade levels in one year for reading. In addition, he was challenged in all other subjects. Our kids have both excelled in all subjects, including math, science, spanish, Bible, and others. Character traits are taught and each month, we have a different trait: patience, diligence, kindness, selflessness, etc. The kids are encouraged to live by these everyday traits. Parent involvement is high so there is opportunity to volunteer if you wish. The teachers at Legacy are EXCEPTIONAL. I don't know where they find them but they are kind, sweet, encouraging, empathetic and the list goes on. I love the teachers at Legacy. There are two classes in each grade and the kids get to know their peers very well. They migrate with the same kids for 6 years in elementary school. I love this because my kids make life-long friends. Coming to Legacy has been the best decision of our life. We are blessed to be part of the Legacy family.
It's an amazing school! We have been there since my son was in the 3 year old preschool program. He's been speaking Spanish since kindergarten, completed his first powerpoint presentation in 2nd grade, and list goes on and on. From math and reading, to their public speaking presentations and science lab experiments, you cant beat this school. He's starting 4th grade in the fall of 2009 and is many years ahead of his public school friends.
You wont get a better private school than this. It's curriculam is very high standard and like no other. The staff from top to bottom is Solid!! they are proffesional, understanding, and are highly educated which is a far cry from the other private school we pulled our son from. It is a very safe, morale invironment for a child to get their education. The facility is outstanding. A very community like environment, since Legacy parents are very proactive with the school to come up with fun activities for the whole family to participate. We like how the school lets their childrens parents know how their child is doing on a daily basis with regards behavior and the work that was done that day by taking most(if not all) home. We had just witnessed their christmas play a few weeks ago, we were blown away by the competent performances of all the children, how did they fit that all in with their busy school day, one has to wonder. Their snow day was a blast, the children, parents, admin, teachers all had fun and a chance to unwind. What is there not to like about the school, if your purpose is nothing short of your childs education and well being?. If one ever wanted a top knotch school, this has to be your first stop! then you can check out the rest and see. From here onwards, we are indepted to Legacy. An Honary mention must goto it's owners Mr & Mrs. Bourrel for their vision and hard work in establishing one of the finest school (if not the best) out here in the Valley. Its a privilage that we will never forget. God Bless Legacy!!!
Legacy academy has been a positive experience for our daughter. She was enrolled in their pre-school program (sunshine), and continued her elementary education with Legacy Private academy's strong academic program with emphasis on moral character. It was a positive experience academically and socially. I was not impressed with the Spanish curriculum for the 4-6 grade classes. Our only regret is that the middle school expansion was not planned in time for our child.
We are so happy with Legacy. Our daughter has attended since Kindergarten and is now in the fourth grade. Legacy has high academic standards, great enrichment classes including computers, Spanish, art, music, science, PE. Great field trips including Sacramento and Washington DC! Most importantly however, is the importance the school places on character development. Very loving teachers and staff. Founder, Tim Bourell is a strong leader and fantastic roll model for the children. We plan to keep our daughter at Legacy through the Jr. High grades.
A Very caring, moral and beautiful school. Teachers are good, but change frequently, with pregnancies. Safe, quiet good kids come here. Playground a little small. Very creative events for kids. Test scores above average. We attended 6 years. We'll miss it.
