Adat is a wonderful school. It has strong academics, it also teaches moral values through their Jewish curriculum, and it provides a sense of community. My son graduated last year and is now at Harvard Westlake. My daughter is currently in 5th grade. Adat has been a home away from home!
This is a tremendous school that educates the entire child. The children receive a great all around education while feeling like an integral member of a vibrant community. The children are extremely well prepared for middle school and the challenges of adolescence.
Adat Ari El Day School combines the strong academics and important values and morals that make a truly valuable human being. The academics are first class. Our children are challenged in a warm supportive environment rich in teacher creativity. My daughter recently graduated from this outstanding school and was prepared above and beyond for the middle school curriculum. The Judaic studies are extremely strong with a focus on bring our heritage to life. The Hebrew curriculum is outstanding and makes learning another language fun and entertaining. Adat Ari El is an all around jewel within our community!
This is our third year at Adat Ari El Day School, and we couldn't be happier. My daughter feels loved and supported and looks forward to attending school every day. The low student teacher ratio has very evident positive effects. In the parent meetings, I can tell the teacher is so in tune with all aspects of my child's well being - socially, academically, emotionally. When kids leave Adat, they are kind and confident, as well as academically prepared for any school in LA. I feel so lucky to be part of such a caring and dedicated learning community.
My daughter just graduated from the day school this past June and my son is currently a 3rd grader. I've been day school parent for over 6 years and have nothing but rave reviews for Adat! The teachers are very committed to their students and go above and beyond to ensure a student's success. The staff and administrators are always accessible via email, phone or in person. The day school does an amazing job at introducing Judaic Studies to students in a fun and meaningful way. The academic curriculum is on par with the other private schools in Los Angeles. My 7th grade daughter was highly prepared for middle school thanks to her AAE teachers. The Adat staff, parents and students make for one big, happy family.
My kids love going to school and their many teachers are genuinely concerned about their wellbeing and education. Their Judaic studies take up about half the day and have really helped them with absorbing a second language and with character development. I have found, however, that the principals and teachers sometimes seem to lack in dealing with supporting students. Specifically, dealing with social issues and situations that come up between the kids is not a strong point. Moreover, protecting the students' best interest in dealing with the outside community is not always done. In many instances, yes, but I have had an experience where the principal did not return my calls and deal with an issue. However, my kids love the school and seem to be getting a great education. The social issues do come up and have been minor compared to the great education.
The quality of the General Studies program is extremely high. The Kindergarten is developmental, yet still totally prepares kids for the demands of the more academic years. The Judaic Studies is really cohesive. It's a wonderful enviornment for parents and kids.
Excellent school. My child has really excelled. The teachers are concerned about the quality of their learning. They make a point of checking in with the parents. Report cards are given three times a year and there are two parent/teacher conferences. The Science lab is amazing. There is also a seperate art room, and computer lab. Nice outdoor field for sports.
A good school. Well balanced between academics and high moral standards. Caring teachers. An excellent choice if you want a Jewish Day School education.
A fantastic school which manages to successfully meld a top notch general studies program with outstanding Judaic studies. The administration and faculty are excellent and notable for their longevity. Each student gets personal attention and is encouraged to develop their own special gifts. I highly recommend Adat Ari El Day School.
