Excellent teachers who work really hard. Students perform below average do to language factors.
Columbus Ave School in Van Nuys opened 2 1/2 years ago. The classrooms are state of the art. It has a caring staff of teachers and administrators. Many teachers are young,but the more experienced teachers are wonderful mentors. There is an afterschool program. Because it is a four track school, intersession is offered. For students who need additional academic support, there are ESL and intervention classes offered. Parents are welcome to help prepare materials for teachers on Fridays.
