I was a student at this school a few years back and I was in fith grade, the school year was ending amd it was almost time for the fith grade colmination. A kindergarten teacher was in charge of the slide show and we had to take picture of our self in a then in now way. This teacher helped you find the picture. I didn't want to take the picture because I had/have body dysforia because I'm Transgender but at the time no one knew but I agreed to do it anyway. He got really frustrated because he couldn't find any photos of me but I had to leave so I was getting ready to leave but he got mad and told me "if you don't take the picture you shouldn't even go to the colmination.(blah blah blah)..you could fall off a building and know one would care" I as a 10-11 year old kid was in shock a grown man said that to me so I 5oke a radon picture and he said to me "if you ever need to talk to someone.." I inturupted him and said no but he proceeded and said "...oh not me I don't want to listen to your problems". After that I walked out of his class room crying no sobbing to the play area and I told my friends and told them not t tell anyone but they told the principle and the next day the principle called me in and told me I misunderstood what the teacher said. And asked me not to mention it to my parents.
Since then I have had DEEP depression and have major anxiety attacks and sometimes even panic attacks when I get near that school
we don't like the principal. he is not concerned about my daughter's safety. she is depressed going to that school. The father is a bully & the principal does not care, even tho my daughter was accepted to USC Magnet. The principal killed the hopes & dreams of my daughter.
A hidden gem in the San Fernando Valley. We are so fortunate to have teachers who really care. They all work very hard to reach EVERY child. The principal and administrators are first rate. Students at this little school are successful. The only way to explain it is that everyone is part of this award-winning team-- the kids, the staff members, and the parents.
all I can say is that this school is one of the best schools in the valley, my son atended from k-to 3rd he was accepted at SOCES which is a great school too, but Lemay i have so many memories the teachers are amazing specially Mr. G and Mrs Katz 3rd grate teacher who made my son to be a genius in Math all the staff I miss all of them.
I have had children at this school for the last 5 years and each year the school gets better and better. Each teacher my children have had strives for nothing but excellence. My children have made great progress through their years. I always feel welcome at the school and the staff is always striving to do what they can to support the students and parents. I look forward to my youngest finishing her years at this school.
