Our son is a senior at NHP and will graduate next month. In addition to having been accepted to the engineering program at CSUN, he has been currently taking engineering and computer classes at Pierce College. He has been on the Dean's list throughout high school. All this would not have been possible without the nurturing support of teachers and staff at NHP. When he started, he was an extremely anxious and insecure child who had trouble interacting with peers and developing his full potential. NHP, with its small class size, caring instructors and support personnel helped our son blossom. Gabrielle Anicker-Evjen

My son is graduating in June, 2010 from NHP and has attended school there for the last 4 years. He has excelled in all areas of his academics because of the dedication and care he receives from the entire staff. They have provided the most professionalism I have seen from any school my children have attended in the last 29 years. The integrity, ethics, communication, patience, care, and cooperation he has received from the staff was far above what I expected. The teachers and staff communicated with me effectively, quickly, and respectfully.I would recommend NHP to every parent of a high school child who is experiencing difficulty in public school. I have been honored and blessed to have worked with such a great group of teachers, counselors, directors and staff! Thank you Jan Steese

NHP really worked with me individually and I was able to pass the tough classes. The teachers were awesome. They used a lot of relevant materials in their lessons. The staff made themselves available to me for extra help. The Dean was available to help me whenever I was stressed out of frustrated. I graduated with honors and am now in college. Thanks NHP!

My son is in 11th grade at NHP and has been there since 8th grade. I cannot say enough good things about the school. They are accommodating and really care about your child. He had bad experiences at his 2 previous schools and was very anxious when he started at NHP. They were understanding and let him take breaks and smaller work load at the begining. Now he is on the Honor roll, doesn't need any breaks and loves school. What a difference the right school makes! They realize that not everything is black and white. Some kids have gray areas.

My child attended this school 4 years ago and I can say it was without a doubt, one of the worst experiences she ever had. The 'education' provided was horrendous and my child would come home complaining about it everyday. The majority of students at that school were and I am sure still are behaviorally unstable. Classes were interrupted daily by students while the staff did nothing to help the situation. This school's blatant disregard for providing substantial education to their students by turning the decrepit campus into, at most, a teenage daycare, is inexcusable. If you are considering this school, I implore you to look elsewhere and leave this place in the dust!

North Hills Prep is an unsafe environment for students. There is no discipline and the students accepted are behaviorably unacceptable. Administration is more concern ed with fundraising for 3 sister schools in Nepal than spending the money towards the education for their own students. The school is rundown and the Principal of the school is never there. There is so much interruption through bad behaviored students it is impossible to learn in this environment. Such a dissapointment to ever have been involved in this school. I feel sorry for anyone else who admits their child in the future to this school as their is no structured environment with teachers or staff and they do not care about parent involvement! It seems they admit any student or staff regardless of their backround or behavior!

We are new to this school, but what an improvement over a very decent public school district! My child has had stuggles since Kindergarten and we could never find the right place for him. This place just seems to work for him. It's a bit touchy-feely and a bit of a throwback to the '60's. My son would be here or homeschooled at this point. (9th grade)
