Cabrillo Middle School is a great school! The teacher are wonderful and caring and do notice every kid in their classroom. They are willing to help and are always available. The after school activities are also great, we couldn't be happier with Cabrillo.

I am an 8th grader there, and if I could I would give it 10 stars. The counselors are the greatest, Mrs. Paige is a great principal, all the teachers are nice and will help with any problem you have, and they have a great selection of Intramurals. This is a great school, and I know I will miss it next year.

Cabrillo Middle is a fabulous school, especially the music department. It is one of the best in the state. Cabrillo offers lots of fun lunchtime activities for any type of person so its easy to fit in. Sometimes my daughter mentions that it is a bit cliquey, but she still loves every day. The teaching staff is wonderful. The sixth graders are somewhat isolated so they can get the feel of middle school. My daughter says her years at Cabrillo are her best ever. I would definitely reccomend Cabrillo for anyone who is looking for a great school and a great music program.

My son is in 6th Grade. So far, I've found Cabrillo to be understaffed and underaccountable when it comes to shared campus time, such as lunch.

The teaching staff is great. The teachers are available to the students morning, lunchtime and after school (usually until 5). The music department has a new home. A building the stands by itself away from the rest of the school. It houses both the beginning, intermediate, and wind ensamble. The music department is one of the best in the county. Parent involvment has never been an issue. Parents are always helping out in some sort of way. New incoming 6th grade students are in a seperate building which helps them get used to changing classes more easily. There are lots of lunchtime clubs and afterschool clubs for students to get involved with.

I feel Ventura schools lack sports due to the fact that they are offered thru the city. But not all families can afford city programs or have transportation to & from these activities. I feel there should be more offered at the public schools. I also feel that over the school is good. It lacks in some areas and is great in others. I feel that this school and others need help with better fundraising ideas. Year after year it's the same. I do give a big job well done on the band program offered.
