I was surprised to read the review which said the school does not offer counseling and tutors, because my child has been offered both. This is our second year at Elmhurst and we are very happy. The principal, teacher and staff have all been very responsive to our needs. We feel grateful to have our child at such a great school!

This is an excellent school. my daughter's in the 1st grade. student-teacher ratio is great. extra curricular activities is good. staff is very impressive. a very safe place for ur kid to learn and get quality education... I would recommend this school highly to anyone.

Haven't been very impressed with the schools ability to help children. They don't have after school programs, they don't offer councling or tutors. For the amount of fund raisers they have, you'd think some of it would go towards the students education. I believe that leadership begins from the top. Maybe it's time for a new principal.

This is one of the best school around. My daughter finished Kindergarten last year. Mrs. Potts is excellent. Music program is great. I am very impressed with the leadership and the patience that the teachers have in listening to the kids and helping them to be very comfortable to achieve bigger goals.

My son has gone to two other schools before recently making the switch to Elmhurst. He has thrived in the past few months in ways I've never seen before. His teacher was attentive, and sensitive to him, yet pushed him to learn more in 3-4 months than he had learned in years. The principal seems to run a tight ship and I have been nothing but impressed with the school.

The Teachers and staff are excellent and very helpful. Some of the best teachers I have experienced, they are creative and make learning very exciting. Elmhurst probably has the best music program in the entire district at the elementary level. I personally really value the integration of special needs kids in this school. I am very fortunate not to have this issue myself but for my kids to be exposed to the real world where not everyone is the same is truly a valuable and rewarding experience.

My daughter just completed Kindergarten at Elmhurst and had an amazing time! We loved the teachers, PTA support and principal. Parent participation is always encouraged and the diversity of the school population in a major strength.

Elmhurst proved to be very good school for my kindergartener. Academic programs are up to the standards easy for the children to follow. The children are exposed to other activities as well, music, arts, sports and they do have some down play time too. Parents are involved as much as they are available and are encuraged by the PTA. All the teachers and the staff are helpful and the school seams to be safe.

I have two children attending Elmhurst, and have never been disappointed with our school. We have an excellent group of teachers, a terrific principal, and wonderful support staff. There is no question that the children are the #1 priority at Elmhurst. I only wish more parents would get involved either by helping in classrooms, or supporting the PTA. Parents are always encouraged to help out in the classrooms, or just to visit their kids for lunch. This is a safe, small school tucked away in a residential area, this is our sixth year with Elmhurst and I wouldn't want to send my kids anywhere else.

We have been Elmhusrt parents for 3.5 years now and would like to comment on the current staff. We are very pleased with the teachers and education that our child has received thus far. We have not had any negative experiences and any concerns we have had have been addressed by teachers and the current principal in a professional and timely manner. The current principal has built a great rapport with staff and students. We have much respect for him and are pleased to have him at Elmhurst!

The best part about this school is the principal. He is energetic, committed to not only the school, but also to the neighborhood (he lives a block away from the school. He seems to have time for everyone and is a great supporter of the extra-curricular activities our boys are invloved in (Cub Scouts and Little League).

I have had 2 children attend Elmhurst from K an 1st grades and they are now in 4th and 5th grades. After this amount of time and after spending time with my children in their classrooms, I have been impressed by the quality of the teachers and the principal. Elmhurst is a great educational experience in a small town setting.
