Our daughter has started Kindergarten this year. The entire staff at Zion has made our daughter's experience unbelievable! We look forward to being apart of this great school!!!
Nothing but GOOD things to say about Zion Lutheran School. I have had two children attend from kindergarten on. We have now had other school experiences and know that there is no better place to be, where my children are safe, well educated and in a Christian based environment, with teachers and staff that care. Small class size is a plus and the friendships made are lasting for parent and students.
Zion does a great job of preparing and educating students for their future while helping parents raise their children with christian traditions in an immoral world. Small class sizes and an emphsis on academics seems to help each student excel. My son loved his first year and will be coming back next August.
My childern have attended both the preschool and the elementary school at Zion and the experience has been FANTASTIC! Not only do my childern benefit from a Christ based education they also receive a very well rounded acedemic education as well. We have also taken advantage of the affordable before and after school program which has made it very easy to be a working mother with the comfort of knowing that my children are safe at Zion. The teachers and the staff are very supportive and involved with the children. Miss M'Less, Mrs. Otte, Mrs. Prill, Miss McCormack and Miss Miller are a few of the teachers that have made a possitive impact on my children's lives! I highly recommend Zion Lutheran to anyone that wants a safe, fun, challenging and Christ centered education for their children.
The preschool staff is very rude and unfriendly. I get the feeling that if you attend the church then you and your kids will be ok but if not you are an outsider and will be treated as such.
We recently placed our 2nd grade son at Zion after homeschooling for Kindergarten & 1st Grades through the California Virtual Academy, which is a on-line public charter school. He has tranitioned well from homeschooling to Mrs. Prill's classroom setting and the students and staff made him feel welcome from day one. We have been very pleased with the entire experience and our son, who initially begged us NOT to send him to school, comes home every day with a positive attitude towards learning. Each day I ask him what his favoirte part of the day was, and he usually responds, 'I liked all of it mom'. Our experience has been so positive that we have alreday registered him for next school year.
There are alot of aggressive students on this campus who physical threaten other children. The teachers are good and really care about the kids but I think since it is a 'Church' school some things get overlooked and people look the other way when there are problems.
Both my children have attended Zion since pre-school. We have been so blessed by being able to attend. The teachers are highly skilled and they all work very hared to bring out the best in each child. They give the children a lot of love, encouragment, and confidence to face the world. They teach good, sound, moral values and their love for God comes through each day. They are continuing to improve the school each year. The class sizes are small and they have an on-site daycare program for before, after school, and also a summer day camp for working parents. We highly recommend Zion Lutheran School.
I have a child in Zion. She has been there for two years of preschool and is now a straight 'A' student in third grade The teaching staff is really involved with the kids. They have a great music program. They have a handball program also.
