As a parent of a learning challenged child, we found that the Victor Valley Home Academy was the answer to our prayers! Not only did our son's teacher take a personal interest in him, he also promptly answered our phone calls and provided our child with career information that really caused a remarkable change in our son's attitude towards school. The one-on-one approach to learning works! One caution I should share is that a home study will not work if your child is in need of remediation in math or English. The teachers in this program only have time to tutor and if your child is failing because he/she is not academically prepared for high school, keep them in a program where they can receive daily classroom instruction! This is not a place to put a child that cannot or will not do many hours of homework each week.

The school is a good way to catch up, keep up or get ahead in school. You must attend school once a week to take a few tests. You are supposed to go for just a small amount of time, although it takes longer than expected. Otherwise, it's a pretty good school!

This is one of the best program available to students with Special Needs (Learning Disabilities) and for self-motivated students. Goodwill Education Center has a wonderful staff that makes every visit pleasant and takes every step to insure the academic success of its students. The teachers are very patient and explain the curriculum in very detailed terms so the students understand the core academic subjects. This school deserves more funding than what it receives because the program works!
