The school is lacking in a lot of area. The biggest problem is communication. As a parent I am not informed about necessary information. I have had one son graduate from this school and I was poorly informed about senior information and events. This school also does not involve parents when making decisions about classes. Another problem is the short notice of handing out class schedules and books. If you are not able to pick up your schedule in the short window of time they allow your child wastes time standing in a long line day after day once schools starts trying to get their books. I don't know why they cannot give more than one day and a couple of hours to pickn up schedules and books. I also cannot tell you how many times I have call that school and get voice mail.

I just graduated in june and i allready miss it. The teachers are good and they dont treat us like children. They do as much as they can to help us succed in life. If the students would just get involved in the good parts they can stay away from the bad parts. Join key club, or the spanish club or something, join drama, its a great program and go to all of the performances, you wont regret it. We might loose all our football games but basketball, baseball etc.. Do great. If the students just learn to walk away from the fights insted of runing towards them then they will be fine. I was an office aid for 2 years and the staff in there works so hard. They take pride in thier jobs and care for the students. (Only bad part, no flip flops, haha its too hot!!)

This is a great school. The administration cares about kids. While it is the oldest school in the high desert, it could use some special attention to its facilities. It is too bad the local paper can't figure out it is a great school.

I am a former Victor Valley High School student, C/o 2007. I do agree that this school needs more money and better security, but overall its a good school. The teachers are great and so are all the clubs. It all depends on the student and what they decide to make of it. I had a great time there. Yes, the school spirit lacked a little...but maybe if the staff would get involved they can encourage the kids to get involved too, creating more school spirit for the years to come.

I am currently a Jr. @ Victor Valley High School. I think the school needs to get more money to buy more books, desks, instruments, and other supplies. The students aren't getting all the help they can get to pass thier classes. We also need more security on the campus. Overall the school is not that good but can get better if someone steps up to help the whole district overall.
