INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

Great School! You can't go wrong! The teachers are loving and are clearly prepared for each school year. They don't play favorite's they love each and student. What you get out of this school is what you put into it. I have two kids that attend and I am excited about the new school year.

My kids have attended here for the past 7 years and my oldest just graduated. I could not have placed my kids in a better school. Academically they push the students to do their best. I have watched kids with some form of a physical disability be welcomed on their sports team. Both of my kids have grown spiritually from attending here. I should also say that my daughter will be attending a university in the fall.

All three of my children have been here since Kindergarten. I love this school. School is Christ-Centered. Staff is friendly and caring. My children have made lasting relationships with great kids and families. I would recommend this school to anyone looking for a small, safe school with a Christian environment

My son attends VVCS and loves it. He likes the Gate program provided by the school. He likes the extracurricular activities that some schools can no longer provide like Spanish, PE, Music, Computers, etc... He really enjoys the Christian environment and the loving teachers, administrators, and proctors that work at the school. His teacher provides a well rounded education that can't be beat. My children will be attending VVCS through their entire elementary and secondary education.

This year my daughter was in the fourth grade here. Her teacher Mr. Bailey was amazing. He cares for each child like they are his own. The staff and leadership here are wonderful. Dr. Byrd is a very organized, caring, hands on administrator who is very fair and wise. Scholastically, we have not found a better school up to and my daughter has attended two other private schools and this is the best. It's definately worth every penny. To the person who posted there was too much homework , there is a lot of wonr work but that's what I am paying for. If I wanted mediocre I would send her to public school. Being lazy and making excuses and blaming others will never serve you well. The Bible is full of verses that reflect this. Nothing is better than hard work! This school will prepare any child for college and that's why I chose it.my freshman year in college homework 20 hrs per week. This school is prepping for the real world and that's what my daughter needs. They care about these kids and strive for excellence, which is also what I want for my child. If you want a solid Christian education in a great loving environment this is the school for you:)

After attending public school from k thru 4th grade I enrolled my child at Victor Valley Christian School. The academics far exceed that of public school. My child loves the extracurricular activities of band, baseball and choir among others. Unlike public school, most homework with the exception of quarterly reports are done at school. I have found the staff to be exceptionally kind and helpful. Many educational field trips. She is there to stay!! Would highly recommend to parents who's children are college bound.

I wouldn't recommend the school at all. I went there from preschool to 4th grade and the reason I left was because I was having difficulty keeping up with the homework they would give you and when my parents went to talk to the principal to see what could possibly help me she proceeded to say that I have a mental disability because I couldn't keep up and the other kids did fine. Of course my parents were offended due to the fact that I do not have a mental disability and I have not been back ever since.

I can honestly say that this school is not one i would reccomend to anyone. The staff can be very rude at times and the kids are extremely stuck up as well. It gives Christians a bad name. I was bullied while i was their, and some of the teachers sided with the bullies. They threatened to expel ME for what was going on. They did nothing to help. The kids are so used to the same friends that they do not like to interact with any new comers. However, Dr.Byrd can seem a little rough but she was the only one that i felt actually cared about what was going on.

VVCS is a good school. They offer a lot of extra activities such as Karate, gymnastics, band, choir, chess club, mimes, computer club and more. The curriculum is challenging and teaches the children to understand what they learn not just memorize it. They also have co-curicular classes during the day like Spanish, computer lab, music, art, P.E. and Chapel. VVCS staff are knowledgeable and they welcome our input. They provide a safe and caring environment for my child. I highly recommend this school to any parent who have children from Pre school to 12th grade.

I have three children and they have all attened VVCS. I thank the Lord that we have this school as an alternative to the public schools. I can send my children to school without a worry because I know they are being well taken care of in all aspects. I would recommend this school to anyone who asks.

My son is in 4th grade. He attended a smaller private school before VVCS. The transition to this school was not difficult. The students were very helpful and the 4th grade teacher is THE BEST! We wish we could have him every year for the next 8 years. What a dedicated, Godly man. He is very likeable and knowledgable...just a wonderful, humble man. The school has a very organized feel. Any questions or concerns I have had have been addressed in a quick, efficient and caring manner.

my grandkid is attending this school and I am very disappointed by what's going on there academically and some of the teachers are not qualified for the subjects they are teaching. Kids are doing whatever they want to do and you can picture what they are doing. the people in the office can be so rude and unprofessional. I think that public school is more Christian than this school. If I have to grade this school I would give it no stars and a big fat F.

My children have been here all their lives and there is no other school that I would send them to. All schools have their problems but ours are minimal compared to all others. The safe environment, caring teachers and Biblical teachings are the most important and VVCS strives to make these a high priority. I highly recommend this school to anyone.

My child was new to the school last year. I was very happy with how the students made her welcome. The teachers are freindly and you can see how much they care about their students. I have no problem recommending this school. It is money well spent.

I have personally watched this school change over the last two years, and all for the better. There is no question that there is a strong spiritual life on campus, but the academics have reaaly improved. I know that the tuition I pay is money well spent. My child can go to a really good college.

The junior high and high school are decent schools. Everyone seems to be very professional and the principal/teachers/office staff are very friendly. I would highly recommend VVCS over Hesperia Christian due to the fact that they are really concerned with your child than how much you are giving to the school financially. The students actually know how to treat each other with respect and are very friendly to everyone. I would recommend this school over all the Christian Junior High School or High Schools around. You will not be disappointed!

As a parent I am very happy with this school. You can see that they are really working to improve the academics. The teachers really do care about their students. The communication between the home and the teachers is excellent. The Christian aspect is clear in all they do. I beleive this school is a blessing to my child.

I sent my children there for serveral years. I first the school was good but has gone down hill every year until I couldn't stand it any more. I was paying for a class that had more kids in it then what the public school. My children was not happy. The favoritism with the children and staff was terrible. The accounting staff was terrible. They could never keep the books right.

When wemoved to Victorville, we looked all around to find a school for our daughter, where she would get a good education, be safe and learn about Christ. Victor Valley Christian School is that place. The techers are great, they have a friendly environment, very goog after school programs, discipline is fair, everyone is treated the same, no matter who you are or what you do for a living. Administration is pleasant, they are very professional. The principal is a very professional person, she's knowledgeable and has a caring heart. I am very happy with my daughter's progress. She is growing up to be a very good person, thanks to what she is taught. Thank You Victor Valley Christian School for making a difference in my daughter's life. Keep up the good work and I would recommend this school to anyone.

Victor Valley Christian school is a great school. I attended school there for 11 years and now my two children are attending there. The teachers are a big help. They are very friendly, inspiring and dedicated to there kids and learning. The Administration is very caring and knowledgeable. It is a great christian atmosphere. The children learn a lot of different subjects, not just the basics. This keeps them interested and wanting to learn. They have so many extras for the kids ie: hot lunch program, music, art, foreign language, P.E., G.A.T.E. etc. They also have several after school activities to keep the kids busy. I really enjoyed my time at VVCS and now my kids get to share in the great experience that I had as a child. I highly recommend VVCS.

I would recommend that you look elsewhere for a good christian school. The principal here is unreasonable. The kids aren't allowed to be kids. After sending my granddaughter to this school for 3 years and returning to the school this year I find it has lost it's heart and humanity. Any attempt at allowing these kids a positive experience is replaced with pressure to perform.

as a student returning for my fifth year at vvcs i think my time here has been a waste. the education is poor, even compared to public schools. they only offer spanish as a foreign language which presents nothing new for most of the hispanic students who have no other options. the discipline system is unfair. i agree that i have also become less of a christian since i first came. the only reason i still attend vvcs is because my parents still have the false idea that its a good, safe 'christian' environment. this supposed christian school still deals with the exact same craziness as public schools. the majority of students are far from christian.

My overall rating of this school as a current student is poor. parents are given a false view of what really goes on here. i would say that after attending 6 years at this school that i am leaving less of a christian, than when i came. Education is poor, and let nobody tell you differant. Favoritism among between student and staff is a major problem, especially when it comes to discipline. students who know staff or have friends who have parents who are members of the staff get special privilidges. Ask any intellectual student who goes here what really goes on, and you will be astounded.

The teachers are great, but due to a recent curriculum change they have a hard time teaching it properly. The class sizes are larger than I like even though there are teacher aides present. Be prepared for school rules & dress code to change multiple times throughout the year. Administration is difficult to deal with and refuses to see that every issue may have several sides. Discipline is not fair. For this reason parental involvement is very low. On the plus side, the teachers offer a friendly environment for learning. The school also offer a complete hot lunch program which is very good. Students are exposed to weekly classes of music, computers, spanish, and physical ed.
