This school is great in both academics and in athletics. I love it and would be so disappointed if i had to move. We just got 786 on the STAR exam so it proves to all of the negative people out there!

I went to school here. I was not an athlete. This school is totally geared towards the athlete. I went to a UC and I do not think El D prepared me for how hard it was going to be. The teachers are okay, but not nearly as good as I could have had just by walking over to the junior college. In retrospect, I should have gone to the jc for my college prep classes. If you are a sort of college bound students but love athletics, this is the school for you. The rest of us just have to make do.

I'm not a parent but rather a student attending as a freshmen. What I can tell a parent whose interesting in sending their child to El D is that El D has the best test scores out of any Visalia and one-of-the-best in the valley. If your child is involved in band, El D is the best choice. this year El D recieved first-in-state for marching season. Beating out all clovis schools! ...And if your child is involved in Sports, El Diamante is the best! We are proud to have THE MOST DEVOTED coaches in all the valley. I play water polo under Ryan Davis,Ben Blakenship, Rory Collinwood, and Andrew Dean: with their direction we've achieved miner victory after victory.

This is the newest high school in Visalia. When the school first opened, their main goal was to advance education, and the learning of each student. They did not, and probably will never, achieve that goal. The school is way more interested in the sports. I felt awful attending the school because I could not, and did not play sports. If your child plays a sport this is the perfect school for them.

I am not a parent but rather a student attending El Diamante. I rather enjoy this school overall. Sometimes students feel that El Diamante always has to do somethihng just a little different than every other high school. El Diamante runs on a block scheduale which aggrivates some students and we also have a homeroom tues-fri. Only in our fourth year we have almost every (if not every) AP class and many students earned honors for their results in the AP tests. Our sports teams do really well and we already have a rivalry in place. We've earned rave reviews in our musicals, dance shows, and choir shows. Don't let our opening date scare you, we are a very evolved and stable school.
