We have been sending our children to Faith since preschool and could not be happier with the school. The loving environment and fantastic teachers and staff make the school feel like extended family. The school has experienced some turnover as all schools do I am sure, but the great learning environment and dedicated and caring staff are a staple at faith. Our family has great memories at Faith and looks forward to many more.

Faith Lutheran provides superior academics, spiritual growth, and works with families to build strong character in its students. Our children have all attended Faith since preschool and we continue to be impressed with their development when compared with their peers; both those in public and other private schools. The teachers and staff make an effort to address our children's specific needs while still supporting the entire student body toward a common, success oriented, academic goal. I would not hesitate to recommend this school and our kids couldn t imagine attending anywhere else!

Faith Lutheran School has been fantastic to us! The experience has been outstanding! We came from a public school and was told about Faith Lutheran from a fellow friend. What a blessing! My kids enjoy the school and got a great education this year. They received a much better education than where they were previously. My kids' teachers both were caring, loving, and very helpful; same with the staff. They enjoy the school and look forward to going back this year. I couldn't ask for more! Check this school out for yourself. You will be happy!

One of the greatest decisions I have made, was sending my son to this school. The knowledge he has gained is remarkable. His social/emotional growth is astounding as well. I'm pleased with the faculty and facility and am looking forward to several more years at faith Lutheran.

This has been a great preschool and kindergarten for our family. The teachers are very caring and the small classroom sizes have been greatly beneficial. We are excited for another great year.

I love Faith Lutheran School & Lambs of Faith Preschool!! We have a three year old child in preschool and a soon to be 3th grader in the school. We have had a great experience with both. The preschool teachers are so warm and loving with the children while teaching them the love of Jesus and preparing them for kindergarten. The director is wonderful and very positive. Love the school staff. There have been many changes over the last few years, but our family feels they are positive changes for our children. We feel the children have a strong academic foundation. I highly recommend both!

Hello, We did not favor Faith Lutheran. The tuition was very high, and we didn't get much in return. We will not be coming back next year. I was one of the students here, and I have felt somehow misunderstood from both the teachers and principle. The middle school numbers are very low and some of the teachers just rush the kid through the school year. They don't review, go over, or classify the main detail to make sure the kid's understand it. Truthfully, I have learned more in a public school than in this institute. The school is a waste of time and is like putting your child on a boat without a captain. No leadership, lack of dignity, and no trust what-so-ever. I hope this message can help the next few kids who come here. They have no understanding for the kids. It seems they are just looking for that $625.00 every month. To add to this, they looked at the things the kids don't do and don't look at the things they do do.

We have been a member of this school since preK. We are leaving!!!!!!! We pay a great deal of money for our child to attend school here and it took us a long time, too long to realize for what??!! Nothing!!!! Academics are low. Technology is non existent. No foreign language. Poor leadership. And the worst customer service and communication! We registered in the spring for this fall. And since then my sons teacher has quit. And the principal has changed for the 3rd time in 3 years. When we asked for our registration fee back the new principal said unequivocally NOWAY!!!!!! just reinforcing my decision. There is in dialogue no customer satisfaction. If you're paying big bucks you want to be treated as such.

The worst !!!!!!! We attended for 4 years. The first years were amazing. However; since then it has gone increasingly downhill ever since. 3 Principal changes in three years. Teachers being fired and quitting. Since registering for the next grade for fall my childs teacher has quit and there is a new principal. There is no foreign language. Nothing exceptional. Not even any fun at this school. I would in no way shape or form recommend this school to anyone thinking about attending here.

We have had enough!! We are moving on. FLS is now on its 4th principal in 6 years. At least 4 summers in a row with teachers unexpectedly being fired/forced to resign/forced to retire, and teacher contracts not being renewed. The best thing about this school has always been the teachers. Well, if you get rid of them all, it is not going to be a very good school. What going on with the leadership?!? I wish FLS could get its act together. We have stayed longer than we should have, due to wishful thinking. It is just not worth it anymore.

I am so sad and mad. This used to be such a great school, with a wonderful sense of community and family. The teachers here are wonderful!! But they keep getting fired. It seems like the "leadership" has been systematically destroying the school over the last few years. Families are leaving in droves. The middle school only had 5-7 kids per class this past year. How small will it be next year? I can not send my child to a middle school that is so small, and with so much turmoil and turnover. Middle school is hard enough as it is, without drama coming from the administration! We will start our search for a new school, but I miss the old Faith Lutheran.

Charter schools offer a better education than this school. Music program is a joke, administration is the worst, every year this school fails to enroll. If it was a great school it would show by numbers. We pay more money for sports outside of this school because of who is running the program. So many staff changes in so few years. Don't get me started on the Pre-school! Why can the new director not keep staff? This school does not want parents to help just the money. So many great Charter schools I would run away from this school. So very glad it's our last year.

Faith Lutheran School has been a saving grace for my children. We were referred to Lambs of Faith Preschool by three of our neighbors. After much prayer, research, and touring of other schools, we were confident that Lambs of Faith was the best place for our family. My children have since gone on to Faith Lutheran Elementary where they continue to grow in their Christian faith, academics, and athletics. The administration cares and listens to the needs and wants of parents. The teachers constantly strive to challenge children to their full potential. We love the church as well and recently were baptized and became church members. If you want the very best for your children and family look no further than Faith Lutheran Church and Schools.

This school is like placing your child on a boat with out a capitan. Lacks lidership, unity, costumer service and therefore you feel like no one really cares about your parental imput. If you are not " to strict of a christian" this is good for you! They will give sugar treats often, will celebrate Halloween, have ash Wednesday like catholics and way more !! By the way if not too uncomfortable the Lutheran church will have a funeral and all related to it when your children are having lunch!

Disappointing... Parents are not sure what the school administration and church are doing. Most of the teachers are still great though. If they don't start to turn things around, not sure if we will stay.

Faith Lutheran School was great for my daughter. The year after she left, they fired two of their most experienced teachers (including my daughter's favorite) without reason., and in violation of their own written procedures.

Love, love, love Faith Lutheran School and Preschool. Our family was referred to Lambs of Faith Preschool by four different families. I toured several schools in the area and not one measured up to Lambs of Faith Preschool. My children are now attending the elementary school and are excelling in all areas. If you want the very best for your children, look at Lambs of Faith and Faith Lutheran Elementary and Middle Schools. You will never go anywhere else.

Low class sizes and this school has been around for years. We just felt there was so many negatives. Campared it to other private schools in the area that can offer more loved Grace Lutheran just a drive from Oceanside but the Pastor was very warm never met anyone from the Church at this school while we were there.

Our family has been attending LOF/FLS since 2004 and then became members of the church. The environment is THERE for my children. Teachers, staff and academics. Though this school is not perfect (nor am I or the world) but it is a work in progress. It has improved the math program recently and has an in-school tutoring program for reading. Our school also offers computer, physical education and music to all students K-8 during the normal school hours at no extra costs.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
