I have a preechool and a 4 grader and my kids love this school all I see is that they are happpy enjoying friends and learning so much, the teachers are great, caring, and allways doing their best for the kids to learn and help to get good grades,I haven't seen any bullying as I read on some post,be sure if I see that i will be the first to stop it and to tell on a review, CCCS has a challenging curriculum my son coming from Bentley school one of the most expensive and super strong curriculum did have a bit to improve in some areas, now he is an excellent student, and happy to have friends and a teacher that cares,I recommend CCCS if you are ready to experience a change in great Values, morals, compassion, love to the lord, respect and quality education.
I am currently going to cccs and I absolutely love it. The teachers are wonderful. One day I was upset and crying and one teacher took the time to hug me during class until I was ok. The teacher could have been teaching but instead they took the time to comfort me and care for me. That is dedication. I love this school! I have gone here my whole life.
I went to this School when my parents were going through a divorce. I was forced to go to this school and hated every second of it. The first day I was bullied beyond belief. I had no friends and never made any. NO ONE CHILD SHOULD GO THROUGH THE PAIN I WENT THROUGH.
As a recent college grad and a CCC alum, I would never consider sending my children here. I was bullied relentlessly for 6 out of the 10 years I went to CCC and no teacher did anything to help. Many of those teachers are still there. In high school, I faired better socially but my teachers showed immaturity, lack of understanding in the subject, and outright rudeness to me. Some admitted to not understanding the subject they taught. Thanks to the other extra-curricular events I was a part of and the guidance of a few good teachers (all of which are gone now), I graduated with top honors from one of the nation's best schools. CCC, however, refuses to acknowledge my achievement because they are closed-minded and think that my non-religious, somewhat liberal college (which, I might add, brought me closer to Christ than CCC ever did) is a horrible, disgusting, sinful place. I never once experienced the true and enduring love of Christ at CCC and I wouldn't expect any other child to either. Send your kids to Berean for high school, they'll do much better in all aspects.
Our experience at CCCS was mixed. Some of the teachers and staff were marvelous, others not as great. For us, it just wasn't the 'fit' we were hoping for. We felt the higher grades lacked a solid Biblical perspective; the younger & middle grades were better but we didn't want to split our kids between multiple schools. We left and found another school that we absolutely love where our kids are well taught, well loved and in a more Christlike environment.
We are about to enter our 3rd year at CCCS and we will have 4 children at the school. We are so happy with the school. It is impressive all that they offer in terms of music, band, extracurricular activities, AP classes, and more considering that they are not a huge school. One of our children has a learning disability and their resource department has been instrumental in his confidence and academic success. Where we have had needs, they have worked with us to see that our children all receive what they need. Not only does it provide a strong Christian foundation and excellent academic opportunities, CCCS is a family who values each family and student.
Contra Costa Christian meets parents where they are and works with each individual situation, trying to be 'all things to all people'.
A good all around christian school but not perfect. My son loved it, my daughter was bullied alot and injured. The school is ignorant about bullying existing. Many of the students are connected to faculty which we feel may account for difficulties in addressing issues. This school wants to come across like everything is perfect, so when something goes wrong, they have a hard time taking responsibility, and the victim becomes ostracized.
This is the best Christian school in Contra Costa County. Everyone is friendly, loveable, warm-hearted, and religious. This school is good for very religious people who are Christians.
This school is like any other schools in the USA. There are always bad people no matter what school you go to. The only thing I like about this school is that it offers religious classes. Here is what my cousin said, 'Yes many things depend on the neighborhood, but no matter were you go, There will always be a bad seed.'
