Pond School has been a positive learning environment for both my sons and now my grandson. My history with this school goes back to the 80's when my oldest son first attended. It is small, which is better for teachers and students. I love the fact that I can speak with staff or faculty at anytime and receive positive feedback. Thank you, Pond School!
I went to this school for 4 years, Kindergarten thru 3rd grade, in 1966 thru 1970. I had the same 3rd grade teacher, Mrs Allie Album, as my dad did when he went to this school. She was my favorite teacher and I kept in touch with her until she passed away. When I attended this school, it only had 13 classrooms...one classroom per grade- kindergarten thru 12th grade. My mom kept the picture of the lion that I drew in Kindergarten (Sidney the Lion), which was entered in the art contest, but rejected because the judges thought an adult helped me. I remember this, but my teach only helped me make the body larger than what I did. I haven't been back in years, but glad to see the school has grown and still there. :)
Jane Kilpatrick is the best teacher that this school has! She has taught my daughter in 6th grade and my neece in 1st grade. They both loved her. As a parent I was so impressed with how much she cared about each student. She took extra time with each child and I could tell how much she loved her job. My daughter has had quite a few bad teachers at this school and when I wanted to complain about them Ms. Kilpatrick would tell me to concentrate on the future and the progress that we will be able to make this year. She is everything an amazing teacher should be. She is creative and beautiful and loving and intelligent and so many more wonderful things. You are a lucky parent if your child ends up in Ms Kilpatrick's class.
