I am very excited about my daughter, who will be a kinder and is "white" and an English speaker, attending this mostly hispanic Bilingual school. I can't wait for the bilingualism and the cultural exchange! How enriching for my daughter and our family. Whatever support the school needs, I am a dedicated parent who plans to give so much here in both time and money/fundraising. I visited the school, it's in a beautiful country location, and met some of the teachers, who I really enjoyed talking to and who seem very sensitive and excited about their job. I am really excited this special place exists and am looking very forward to my daughter being here and to this school being a part of our lives. The principal..had several conversations with him and am very impressed with him and his mission at Alianza.

I am a teacher who worded at Alianza years ago as a first year teacher. Since that time I have taught in a wide variety of schools around the world. The training and professional care that I received at Alianza was first rate and has continued to help me thoughout my career. I highly recommend the school to parents because the principal is fully dedicated to student achievement, teacher collaboration, and to creating a positive learning and work environment for everyone. This translates to student motivation and success.

Alianza Charter School fits the Pajaro Valley area and Watsonville well. Teachers and staff are actively interested and fully committed to education as a foundation and life-long tool. The school is reflective of the community and appears to be a year long celebration of learning, giving and community building. Parents are involved and teachers are creative.

Alianza is a bingual dual-immersion school in English and Spanish. My daughter started there in Kinder, as a mono-lingual English student. Now she at the end of second grade she is bilingual in both English and Spainsh at grade level. The only complaint I have is that it could be more supportive to English only students. The focus seems to be more on the Spanish only students as far as extra help.

I have 5 children and two of my daughters had the great privilege to attend this school. They are not only bilingual, but also biliturate. The oldest one is a junior in high school, and she has done amazingly well. Her teachers admire the way she talks, reads and writes in both spanish and english. She is currently taking 3 ap classes now, and has taken atleast one ap class her sophomore and freshmen year. Alianza charter doesn't only have devoted teachers, but a program that truly works! thank you dearly mr. Michael g. Jones! (principal) and all the staff for teaching all of us.. That two languages are to wings, and with two we can fly.. Dos idiomas son dos alas.. Y con dos puedo volar.
