This is our second year at this school and I think the program is wonderful. The teachers we have had so far have been nurturing and so patient with the kids. They welcome the kids creativity and take a more social than academic approach to learning. . It is a great atmosphere and I will be sending my other 2 children there when they get old enough.

This school manipulates people and does not communicate with parents in a professional way. The teachers seem nice, but the director isnt helpful and refuses to help a family out when a situation changes that affects a family's ability to pay for the very expensive tuition. Even after begging, the office refuses communication and treats you like you dont matter. ***Stay Away if you are not prepared to pay their non-refundable registration fee of $100 that they say is for an emergency kit you wont get to use. They take advantage of poor single mothers without giving consideration to anybodys poor financial situation. Heartbreaking!!

I love this school with all my heart. The teachers are amazing. They deserve awards. The children are well taken care of, and loved. I love the whole idea that this is a social school not academics. Althought, my 4yo has learned how to spell, do addition and subtraction, know's left from right, writing, cutting, etc... The teachers give there all to my child as well as the other kids. I gave this school 4 out of 5 stars because there needs to be more parent involvment. If there were more parents participating, then the director, bookkeeper and so forth could do a better job and feel more relaxed. That's my opinion, and I love this school.

Our son reads and does math considerably above grade level. The Growing Place has provided a wonderful nurturing environment for him on a non-judgmental basis to expand his learning in all directions including social, exploration, math, english, music, etc. We can't believe how committed the teachers are to these kids, and how small the class sizes are. The kindergarten runs about 5 hours, and is incredibly diverse in subject matter. Great job, teachers!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
