It's just an amazing school!!!!!!! My son has been here since kindergarten, hes in 3rd grade now and all I can say is that this is a great school, the principal mrs furman is always making sure that the students are getting t best education, Mary is always making sure the oficce n school is running smooth, and the teachers are doing tremendous job with the kids,they all r very passionate about their jobs, they always in constant communication with the parents, we have had... Mrs Nordin, Mrs batterman, Mrs Lutz, and Mrs partida/waldshmit,, and I just love them all I'm pretty sure my Christopher is getting the education he deserves and learning the lessons he needs!!!!!!!! Thank you weaning school****

I work at Westmont. I have been there almost 19 years. It is a wonderful school with kind thoughtful teachers. We are all there to help the children, no matter where they were born. We work with all students not just the ones who are learning the English language. We have a very involved PTA...I guess the reason we do all this is because children are important to us and our school cares.

My grandson really likes the teachers he has had and has. Everyone in the office is friendly and very helpful (especially Mary) The teachers make sure that the students understand what is being taught to them.

Westmont Elm has been a great schooling experience for my son. He's doing extremely well and learning so much with the great curriculum. The Teachers are great as well!

My son Faheem went to Westmont for Kindergarten and Grade 1. He has Mrs Garcia and Uradomo. It was a wonderful experience for us. There are alot of ESL kids, however it was never an issue for us. Faheem made wonderful friends with them.Mrs Garcia rocks and has such a paasion for teaching, her classroom and the kids. The principal /Dr White is an equally wonderful person. she always smiled and was easy to talk to. Kudos to Westmont We moved out of state, if not my second son would be going there. K

This is na amazing school. Superior parental involvement. Great teachers and special ed programs. Dr. White, the princpal knows everyone by name. reat library and front office staff. Award ceremonies are held monthly and always filled with supportive parents.

Interesting statements made regarding no PTA. Westmont has a PTO and the people who posted oterwise must not have taken the time to learn more about it. The president of the PTO in 2007 was recently awarded volunteer of the year. It is true that we don't have as many parent volunteers because many are Spanish speaking but the volunteers we do have are amazing. We have more PTO sponsored events than many of the schools in the district with more volunteeres. We also have many other things that enrich our childrens experience. We have special ed programs that give our children empathy and understanding of others and they are l getting a good education. I almost didn't send my children here because of shotsighted negative comments from people who didn't do their homework, and I'm very glad I took a chance on Westmont.

Westmont is an excellent school! My daughter has been going there since Kindergarten now moving onto 6th grade and she absolutely loves this school. She wouldn't miss a day for the world.

There are kids there that speak English as a second language, but they speak it well. It's their parents that have a hard time with English. If that bothers you, you should send your kids to private school. The parents that I have dealt with have been fantastic!

This school is a shame to the public school system. There is no PTA and no involvement from parents. I went to an award assembly and there were maybe 5 parents total at the thing. Very sad. My daughter will not be attending this school next year due to open enrollment in the district. Thank goodness!

It was interesting to me to see any positive things stated in regards to this school. There is no PTA because of no parent involvement. Most of the campus is comprised of children whose parents speak not a word of English. If you have a child who isn't an English Learner they are put aside to give time to the children who need help learning English. The teachers always look miserable too. Never once a smile.

Westmont is a fabulous school which is growing and developing yearly. A great staff, extraordinary parent groups and eager students. Anyone who passes up Westmont will be missing out on a trulty wonderful experience. We are a Distinguished School and our API and test scores improve every year. We are keep updating equipment and learning supplies. My kids and I love Wetmont.
