There is a few bad eggs in this basket so watch out... Most of the Teachers for the most part do the best they can. This Principal used to try to better things. Went to a PTA meeting, and won't go again. What happened to caring? That meeting was how can I hurt the Teachers today. Very sad bunch. My daughter had the day lights scared out of her from the Nurse telling her Stories about her Inhaler, and how it damages her teeth. Wasn't a good idea her telling that to her when my daughter needs it to help her breath. Then she needed a new note to have the new Inhaler with the new directions that is STATED right on the prescription. Of course the Nurse doesn't tell me that when I already went to go get the new prescription for her that she said was almost out dated when she called me the other day. It is tough getting appointments during this flu season. Another deductible I have to pay to make another trip to go get a note. They lost the Chamber that is to be used with her prescription so they have been giving it to her without it. I bought that too, and now I have to buy another one. Do they REALLY care about our kids??? I don't feel they like there Job...
MY 7 yr old son does very well at this school, no thanks to the fact that they are on the 3rd teacher in his 1st grade classroom. The parents weren't even notified that there were substitues for a month, before my kid let me know. On the positive side the current principal isn't to blame for teachers leaving and she was very helpful with communicating with me when I contacted her. the school is safe and the curriculum age appropriate as well as the discipline there. My biggest concern is that my son is in an old portable that leaked water from the AC unit for the 1st 5 months of school.
Too many principals over the last several years. If such a good scholl why are the principals rotating in and out so much. They are taking too much away from the children on the play ground. They can't play basketball or kickball. Too much giving in to politically correctness. Schedules are not on track with other school districts so days off it is difficult if you have friends/family close enough but different schedules. Overall good school, I went there as a child all the way through. My oldest son went all the way through also. Wish they had more variety in field trips, Knotts Berry Farm is getting old.
i been there for six years it is a good school i love it
Our daughter has attended Sequoia from grades 2 through 4. She is happy, safe, and treated well. The teachers are wonderful. The support staff and administration has also been fantastic. Everyone really cares and it shows.
Great staff and the principal is great.
Nice School. Not too many students. Teachers and staff are very nice. PTA is involved
We have three children at Sequoia and love it. They have a great principal and teachers. Parents/PTA contribute a great deal to the school. They also have a great after school child care program (ESP).
I love this school. The principal works very hard to motivate the students and teachers. Most of the teachers are caring, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. The school tries very hard to address concerns of parents and students. Discipline is fair and in the best interest of the child. I would rate this school a 5.
We moved to the Westminster School District 2 years ago and were a little hesitant to say the least, but have been repeatedly impressed at the administrative and parent involvement at Sequoia Elementary! Very nice campus, the teachers, PTA and amount of parent participation is amazing.
