This school is amazing i remember when i went here i had the best time of my life. I am glad to send my kids to this school they are now well educated and are achieving their goal. Before my kids went to this school they went to phelan, and their grades dropped tremendously. I do not know why phelan is a distinguished school.

My child has been attending West Whittier for 3 years. I feel that the safety of the school is a problem and has always been an issue.Parking is another story! Parent involvement is limited to helping 1hour in class. Our school needs more teachers outside during lunch and recess due to multiple accidents on the play ground. When attending PTA you have to know Spanish or tuff luck.Although there are some good teachers here the over all quality of instructions is poor.I feel my child is not being academically challenged at this school.I also feel that the school has a lot of new young teachers that lack experience needed to teach more active children. As for our Principal I feel that she could do a better job. Overall this is not a school for any child seeking to advance his/her academics.
