Excellent school in an economically depressed community! Individualized education with very involved teachers and parents. It is amazing how much they accomplish with so few resources. This is a very safe, family-oriented school. The diversity is broad with some kids going to prestigious universities while others go on to jobs in the community. There are ample opportunities for kids to take community college courses and get credits for community service. The administration bends over backwards to give every child the experiences they need to succeed.

I think this school is great. My child started going there in the 6th grade. At Blosser school she was getting bye and now she pulls mostly A's. The teachers and staff are great. They spend their time with each student, to help and support them. The sports she gets thru the City of Willits teams and plays volleyball at school. They have lots of extra things that they are able to do, that at other schools they do not offer. Parents are asked to put in so many hours of involvment to make the students and the school a better place for all of our students and bye doing this each parent knows what is going on with there student.

WCS seems very unique after my child went through the public school through 6th grade. She truly enjoys going to school. The Staff is incredibly helpful. If she needs extra help they will skip lunch if needed. They have a great variety of electives. Sports are through the City of Willits and since the community center is right across the street, a teacher volunteers and is teaching girls volleyball. Parents and students are required to complete a certain amount of school and community service. All the staff is very supportive and responsive to the children's and parents needs. Communication is essential for the kids/parents/school. WCS meets/exceeds my expectations. They are supportive and expect the kids to do they're personal best and that is what they get. The only drawback that I've found is that the open campus is hard for the younger students to handle. The temptation to push limits is there.
