I'm new to this school, but these last 3 weeks show how much everyone really does work together. It truly is a community school. The students, the parents, the staff and administrators all really do care for one another and seek ways to help each other out on all levels.

Lockhurst ElementarySchool has a dedicated administrative and instructional staff that goes above and beyond. They provide the best school environment possible.Children with special needs are welcomed with open arms by everyone and are part of the group. The gifted (GATE) program is awesome. My child learned to read and write challenging material at a young age because of Lockhurst's Academic program.The parent volunteers work very hard at fundraising to try and bring activities back to the school that would normally go by the wayside due to ongoing school district budget cuts. This is the best educational foundation for my daughter that I could ever ask for. My daughter has received the very best tools of knowledge to move forward in her life thanks to Lockhurst Elementary School. 5 Stars***** Way to Go Lockhurst Where Caring Truly Does Happen!

I love Lockhurst Elementary so much. They are like my family. When my son was enrolled in their preschool program I made arrangements to become an employee there. Their special education program is exceptional and I was lucky enough to be part of that. The parent envolvement is amazing!!! It's not just a school, it's a family.

Lockhurst Elementary school is the best place to work! We have a staff that is a family and we are all there for the kids. All of our students are positive learners and proud to be Lockhurst Lions. They take 'pride' in their school.

This is a progressive school with strong parent involvement, and support from both teachers and faculty. This school has won top honors in California, such as the Distinguished School award. It also has a large percentage of special needs kids that receive absolutely excellent care and attention.

  • Lockhurst Drive Elementary School is a School for Advanced Studies. We focus on differentiating the curriculum for all students through the use of critical and creative thinking skills that will challenge each child at their developmental thinking level. Students are given the tools of academic language in order to be better thinkers and to understand how they think. We accept students from Kindergarten through 5th grade into our SAS program.
