My grandson attends this school and I am a volunteer. My daughter is also a teacher at this school. I see first hand the hard work and dedication of the teachers and administrators here and the limited resources they have to work with. With funding cuts increasing everyone suffers. Teachers are limited, students are not challenged. It can be a vicious circle. Additional funding would help maintain the high level of teaching and achievement that the faculty and staff and Ramon S. TaFoya Elementary strive for everyday.

Tafoya is an excellent school. The caliber of the teachers is high, the administration communicates and interacts with the staff, students and parents and the students, at all educational levels, are challenged and encouraged to do their best. The test scores, by no means, reflect the teachers' abilities, only the student population. I would highly recommend Tafoya, without a doubt, after being a parent of children there for 4 years.

Tafoya is an excellent school. My children are in 2nd and 3rd grade and they have had wonderful, dedicated teachers every year. The administration works very well with the teachers and communicates with the parents by phone and notes sent home. The office staff are always very friendly. The morale is high there, despite the fact that the school is a Program Improvement School. The only reason it is a PI school is the student body population, it has Nothing to do with the quality of teachers or administration. Go Tafoya Hawks!
