Maxwell is a very good learning institution. Rascism problems do occur considering the minority factor it is exspected to be a lil bit of issues. The prinicple tries to settle conflict but i think she needs a lil more help learning how to do that. overall my childs exsperience has been very good and the teachers are excellent.
Our son as been a student at Maxwell since 2007 and our daughter started in 2010. Our experience was only with private schools (which ended up in a MAJOR disappointment), we thought we'd take a look at public schools. Sure glad we did! After speaking with the Principal of Maxwell School, (Mrs. Sue Alves), it made us realize her leadership is what we want from a principal. The teachers are compassionate, caring and provide a wonderful learning environment in the classroom. We've been involved in the PTA and getting to know the other parents has been very rewarding as well! Maxwell is the school you want your child(ren) to go to!
School just started and my daughter just loves her teacher! She has the same one my son had and I loved her with him. My son started off rocky but the princable was right there to help witht he problem, and resovled it quickly.
it's our first year there. my son had a great year in all ways. great teacher. I found the school to be compassinate and caring to all people. A much better expeirence than our last year at another school. I do find a huge languge barrier with other parents. Fustrating. Ps Get a office secretary that smiles.
Low level of parent involvement.Would not recommend this school. I removed my children as soon as possible. Principal not a leader for children, however is better at communicating with adults.
Good home town school with a great RSP program
