As a parent, I have been involved with this school for 4 years. Although the test scores are low, it is not the case with students who are average or above average. Those students excell here. In addition, the students who are struggling, have an excellent support system. Prairie has one of the highest, if not the highest, student populations for elementary students. They have a dynamite counselor on staff who is an excellent asset to the school. A key to success at this school is be involved with your child's education from the start. They have an awesome teaching staff and they always address any concerns you may have and are willing to help in any way possible.
Despite the school having low test scores the teachers are really working hard at getting the kids to know their stuff. The biggest reason the test scores are lower is that so many of the students first languages are not English. We love the school!
