Woodland Christian let down so many families and the children are so far behind for their grade level---i find it a shame.

I have two children that attend Woodland Christian School. One is a senior and the other is a sophomore. My senior just got accepted to Pepperdine University in their business program. Pepperdine is a very competitive school and I feel that my child was well prepared for the next step into a university. Our sophomore has participated in every sport possible at the school and also is involved in the chapel prep program. This has been a wonderful experience with a chance to grow leadership qualities along with speaking skills. The devotion of the teachers and staff to our children has been amazing. We can not say enough about the dedication of time and energy to the school by teachers and staff. We feel confident that the school is headed in the right direction and will only improve upon what it is now.

I have had two children at the middle/high school for the past 4 years. While the school is small, the teachers and staff are remarkable. They treat the students with respect, care, and love that is unparalleled in the public sector. The school is providing my children with a top notch education; my kids are among peers that are respectful and kind; and, because the school is small, the kids have the opportunity to engage in any sport they choose. With the school's recent change to becoming a Community run school (no longer exclusively affiliated with and managed by First Baptist Church), I am excited to see its involvement and connection with a more extensive community. Finally, there is no other educational facility in this area that is as spiritually safe, where God is sovereign, and the Bible is the foundation of morality. I couldn't be more satisfied.

Excellent school!!! My two are in high school and have had a wonderful experience every year they've been there. The academics are rigorous without being outrageous, the teachers are professional, well educated, and kind, and our whole family has enjoyed our time here. Our kids are being well prepared for the four year college experience through the academic challenges and discipline they are being taught.

My two children graduated from Woodland Christian High School and had very positive experiences. The school has caring teachers and a full program of athletics, choir and drama productions. My children were accepted into their first choice colleges and did very well due to the preparation they received at Woodland Christian.

When i attended it, grades were inflated, did not offer any AP courses, and overall did not prepare me (at all) for the competitiveness of college.

This school used to be wonderful. Caring, knowledgable teachers and wonderful administrators. It has since gone greatly downhill. There have been many downsizings and many of the teacher have left and not been replaced. The enrollment is down greatly from just 5 years ago and as such services have decreased. There are 2 or sometimes 3 electives for middle school and high school. The entire school is now in a downward circle.

Woodland Christian Elementary school is wonderful. My daughter has attended from preschool until first grade. The teachers are dedicated and there is a strong Biblical emphasis. The classes are small and my daughter has loved it!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
