Our daughter is currently a sophomore at RVHS and there is nothing but positive comments that I can make about this school. From the administration to the support staff, they are all terrific. When I make phone calls or leave emails for the teachers, I receive the same back within a day or maybe two depending on schedules. When I contact the Principal, he responds to my comments and anwers questions. You will see administration and sometimes board members at each and every school function. I could not be more delighted with this school and feel very fortunate that our daughter is a student there.

Im a Senior at this school, i will be the first class to have been at the school for four years, the school has gone through some changes over the time ive been here, not all of them great, but in the end its a wonderfull school. The teachers are able to connect with the students when needed and students have the time they need with the block schedule.

The availability of the AP (Advanced Placement) classes is great. We moved to Yuba City from big urban city where AP classes were overflowing, the attention that the teacher could give through the 50 min of class to the students were almost non-existing, but with the workload as hard as in college. River Valley offers great AP selection just talk to the counselors and draft your child s future to success! Explore the options! I am not a teacher I am a very satisfied parent! River Valley Rocks!

I am so pleased with this school. This school year is by far the best yet. They have worked out all the kinks and things are really on track now. their academic program challenges the students to work hard and move at a much faster pace than your typical school. The classes offered are geared to prepare your child for college. There are also classes offered that count toward college credit hours. they have a wide range of extra curricular activities. This year, 2007, the Falcons football team remains undefeated. And the level of parent involvement is incredible. I cannot say enough regarding the principle Larry Bonds. He is the type of person that does whatever it takes to improve the quality of education that your child receives. And above that, the students sincerely like him as a person. He makes you feel comfortable speaking with him. I love River Valley.

This new high school is modern and clean. The school has been operation for 2 years. The first year, while being completed, it was used as an elementary school. This year it only has freshman and sophmore classes with junior and senior classes to be added in the next 2 years. The outside football/baseball fields need a lot of work right now. The kitchen is clean and modern boasting a food service area with multiple venues including Chinese food, Mexican food, pizza, a hamburger grill, a deli and a snack bar. All food is freshly made in the food service area. The classrooms are what you would expect from a brand new school, i.e. clean, well lit, roomy. Accademically it is too early to tell since it is a new school. Located just west of the city it is surrounded by a semi-rural atmosphere with fairly modern homes.
