Rancho Mirage Elementary School is one of two schools in the Palm Springs Unified School District with an Academic Performance Index (API) over 800. In our second consecutive year over 800, our current score is 805.
This year, we are eligible to apply for California Distinguished School status.
We are the only school in our district with an all-day kindergarten program in every kindergarten class (beginning mid-year.) From September through February, each class of approximately 30 kindergartners is split in to a morning and afternoon class, so that the student-teacher ratio is 15:1. In February, most students attend all day, from 8:34-2:50.
