"I love Salem High School! I have been in this school system all my life and it's been awesome. Sports are great! We love it! Were smarter than the other schools in the county(West Washington and Pekin)"

"I am an 11 grade student and Salem is a great school in many stand points but some of the teachers are so smart and when a student dont understand how to do the assignment the teacher looks at them like they are stupid. But other than that it a great school with great sports and other after school actvities, such as our FFA chapter that has advanced to state 3 years in a row. "

"I attended the salem school system until the 7th grade. they were good in academics but the kids were able to do what they wanted. Many fights and bad things went on. They were focused so much on looking good that it didnt matter how the kids were treated.. I live in tennessee know and the schools are way better and children are not picked on. teachers focus on the children and not on how the school looks."

"Salem Community Schools push their students to suceed. They adhere to the 'No child left behind'philosophy. Unlike a lot of schools, they allow no unprepared student to proceed to the next grade level. Classes are inter-grade level in the high school with a mediun size of 30. An emphasis is placed upon 'real world training', in this way the student is able to bring the study matter into a personal context. Career path course options include:agriculture, business, college (through IUS for upper classmen),college prep.,computers, general, home economics, and mechanics. Extra-curricular activities include: Band,Chorus, Civic clubs, Drama, Foreign Language, journalism, and both boys and girls sports. They are a member of the IHSAA, and strive to give equal support to both genders. Salem is a small community with a big heart & it excels at putting its children's education & safety first."

"I am a student at Salem High School and i believe that our school is one of the cleanest schools i have seen. I have been a student at salem for 12 years and i wouldnt change that for the world. The teachers are very helpful, all it takes is someone to ask the question and there right there helping you. Theres alot of extra curricular activities to be involved in and i thinkt his school would be great for anyone who decided to go there because its a clean, fun, safe environment."
